"Take a goddamn chill pill, Lucifer," Marina commented as we pulled up to Ashton's house. "This will work."

Luke rolled his eyes and grumbled, "First of all, my name is most certainly not Lucifer; it's just Luke. Second of all, I'm just worried that-"

"Gee, Lucy, talk about a paranoid pessimist," Marina laughs and nudges me in the elbow. "How do you put up with him, let alone act like him?"

I shrugged and turned to Luke. "Don't be so negative, Luke. Have faith in us."

"Oh, I have faith in you, Lucy," he says, then glares at Marina. "It's her I'm concerned about."

"Now I may not be much of an actress, but if I can pretend to like you, then I'm pretty sure I can pretend to be Lucy's girlfriend," Marina snaps at Luke.

"Guys, stop fighting before I get annoyed," I mentioned. "Let's just get inside and get this over with."

"Please tell me you both have a background story," Luke says, and I could practically see the worry in his eyes.

I raised my eyebrow. "Background story?"

"Like how you both met," he explains, "and you're first date, you're first kiss, you're..."

"We get it, Luke," I laughed.

"Yeah, we're winging it," Marina announced.

"Winging it?!"

"Settle down, Lucifer," Marina smirks, placing her hand on my shoulder. "I may not have a clue on what to say when your bandmates stuff their noses into our business, but I'm sure that kissing Lucy won't be so hard - for me at least - considering my sexuality. Although her appearance right now doesn't quite turn me on."

Luke gave her a blank face. "She looks like me."

"Exactly."

It appears that Luke finally realizes something as he speaks, "Wait... Who said anything about kissing? Kissing won't be necessary, my precious Lucy's lips shall be left alone."

Marina looks at Luke dead in the eyes. "Do you want our little act to be believable or not?"

Luke sighs. "I do..."

"Then shut your whiny little mouth and let us get out of this damn cramped car because my legs are starting to go fucking numb."

At last we had gotten through Luke's complains and panic state and hopped out of the car. Luke went to take Marina's place at the driver's side but before he did so he grabbed my arm gently and pulled me over to the side.

"Are you going to be okay?" Luke asked me in a serious tone, a genuine look of concern on his face. "If you're the slightest bit uncomfortable with this, we could stop this whole thing right now."

I shook my head. "This is your prank, Luke, we can't stop now."

Luke chuckled. "You think a silly prank is more important to me than you?"

I smiled. "I'm not uncomfortable, I'm fine. Besides, Marina and I kissed plenty of times."

His eyes went wide. "What?"

"Friendly kisses," I say, rolling my eyes. "We got this."

He looks at me for a few moments, then pouts. "This day was supposed to be a day without the prank and a day about us."

"I'm sorry, Luke. I'll text you to pick us up as soon as we're done so we can hang out, I promise," I tell him.

"Are you sure you don't want me to wait in the car out here, you know, just in case?"
