My day started off getting ready to meet up with the boys, which also meant having to leave Luke. To be quite honest I really didn't want to leave him, but there are things you have to do in life that you won't like.
The boys were waiting for me at the nearest Starbucks. Seeing them so close to my apartment and to the real Luke kind of made me nervous, as if this prank was about to be figured out. I shook off my nerves and sat down at their table.
"Lukey!" Michael yelps loudly, causing mostly everyone in the room to turn and stare him.
I leaned back in my seat, feeling uncomfortable with all the eyes on us. "Say it louder, Michael, I don't think the entire continent of Australia quite heard you."
"Yeah, mate," Ashton nodded his head, taking a sip of his drink. "You might attract the fans and this whole place would be upside down."
"So Luke," Calum speaks, smirking at me. "Why were you so late?"
I rolled my eyes him. "I was only ten minutes late. It's early in the morning, I'm freaking tired."
"And what could ever have exhausted you, my friend?" Michael joins in on the sudden teasing.
I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "What are you guys getting at?"
"We drove by your house last night," Ashton tells me. "Your parents told us that you weren't home."
My eyes immediately widened, my usual instinct to panic but I tried my best to internally calm me down and stay cool. "So what? Are you telling me you guys are stalkers?"
"Where were you?" Calum questions. "The more you ignore this situation, the more suspicious we become."
I sighed. "Fine. I was at my girlfriend's place, okay? Just drop it."
Michael's jaw dropped. "Did you guys have sex?!"
"What the hell, Michael?!" I hissed, glaring at him. "It's none of your business what we did. I should be able to spend the night with someone I love without you guys bugging me."
Ashton chuckles. "How ironic."
"What's ironic?" I questioned.
"For the past few years you've been complaining about how you'll never lose your virginity," Calum explains. "And now that you have, you're not bragging about it. Was it not good?"
I'm sure the sides of my face were a flaming red. "I never said I lost my virginity. Can we please move on to a different topic?"
"Lukey is all flustered!" Michael squealed.
I let out a huff, making it obvious that my annoyance was growing. "I swear I'm gonna leave."
"No, no, we'll stop it," Ashton laughs. "But I do kinda want to leave. Let's go, boys."
We all stood up and exited Starbucks, me feeling the most relieved I've ever felt. If that's what Luke has to go through on a daily basis (I'm sure it is) I feel sympathy for him. Thinking of Luke, I wonder what he's up to today.
As we walked along the sidewalk in a group like a pack of sardines, Calum tells a joke and we all howl with laughter. Soon I feel the presence of someone was watching us, so I turn my head and looked across the street. The bush was moving a bit, which was odd considering that there wasn't any wind. Shrugging it off, I continued my way along with the boys.
"I was thinking we could all go back to my place," Michael suggested and Ashton and Calum nod their heads in agreement.
Remembering the last time I was at Michael's house, I cleared my throat and spoke up. "Actually, I think I'm gonna go home and hang with my parents."
