Chapter Three
= MEG's POV =
NEXT MORNING
"Remind me to never give you Maoams before bed." I said as Em and I entered the stadium.
"Mum wouldnt have any problems with that."
"Well mum wasnt home last night and you didnt give me that much sleep." I said, pinching her cheeks. She winced and slap both of my hands.
"Look on the bright side! We're 10 minutes earlier." Em said.
"That is great." I said sarcastically.
She tried to hit me again but I grabbed her arm. "Put that to use , will ya?" I said, pushing her arm away.
She giggled and ran away. When I looked up, I froze on the spot. I swallowed hard as my eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.
Why do boys always take their shirts off in public? Now I'm staring directly at my little sister's football coach. Did I mention he's shirtless? Did I also mention he's really fit?
I snapped out of my daze when he smirked at me. How humiliating. He probably saw me drooling over him the past few minutes. I sat on the bleachers again as Emily ran to the benches. She and Louis high five each other before Louis could even put a shirt on. How charming.
No I didnt say that. Of course Emily doesn't mind all of THAT. She's ten years old. She doesn't even know how to fold her clothes in her closet, let alone know how to react over a shirtless guy right in front of her.
I gasped, pulling away from my daze when I notice him walking over to me. My eyes widen even more. I didn't know my eyes could go this far. Shit.
"Just came here to tell you something."
I raised my eyebrows at him.
"You don't need to babysit my sisters later. I've got that covered."
Oh.
"Um, thanks. I think.." I said, sounding so distracted. Snap out of it, Megan!
"And..." He trailed off.
"There's more?" I ask him. God I sound so pathetic. He looked at me through his hair. His eyes are pretty, though. You can't argue with that.
I mentally slapped myself. Oh come on Meg. Snap out of it.
"Phoebe and Daisy love having Emily over... I asked Em if she wanted to join us later but she said I've got to ask you first."
"You asked Em?" I ask him. He said 'yes' through the rise and fall of his eyebrows.
"I think she really looks up to you... Literally." He said, smirking.
"It actually depends on how desperate Emily is...." I said. I realized Em has been eavesdropping the entire time.
That proves how desperate that midget is.
"Judging by her eavesdropping," I exaggerated the word 'eavesdropping', "yeah, I think she is." I said.
He smiled. How could I agreeing to his sisters play date make him so-.
"But this isn't any date of some sort. I'm saying yes for Emily." I told him, just to clarify things.
Then I saw Em frown behind him.
I rolled my eyes and looked at Louis again.
"No problem." He said. I smiled and cocked my head. "Glad to make things clear." I said. All of the sudden, he stepped closer. He let out a laugh when I hit the bleachers, falling back.
"But I'll be glad to take you out."
I raised my eyebrows at him. He smirked and leaned down.
"When you're ready, that is." He said before running off to the field to put a shirt on. Oh now he wears a shirt. He's a such a cheeky fella. And a tease too. He looked back at me and winked.
I blinked a few times registering what he just did. I scoffed and slumped on the bleachers.
At exactly 9 the other kids came running in. Em frowned as she saw the other kids, making me laugh. Her alone time with her coach is over. No let me rephrase that that way Emily would say it. Her alone time with her 'beautiful' coach is over.
Even just saying that in my head made me laugh. The thought my sister having a crush on someone almost 12 years older than her is hilarious.
The scene yesterday, watching kids jogging around the field for 5 rounds, was a repeat. Soon they were doing sit ups. Louis would go around and watch his little trainees going from energetic to completely exhausted.
He blew his whistle and the kids immediately got up, panting.
"All right.. Let's get things moving." I heard him say. The kids were all in a single file line infront of him like soldiers. I felt my chest contract at the thought of them being like soldiers. I shake the thought away and focused back on the scene infront of me.
"First things first. The basics. And in football, kicking the ball." He said as he picked up the ball from the ground. I leaned on my elbows and listened to his instructions.
"We're not in America, guys. That's why we kick the ball, not throw it. So how do you kick in football?"
He almost sounds like... Someone I know. I squeezed my eyes shut trying to block everything and focus on freaking reality again.
"You kick it... On this part of your foot." He said, patting the side of his foot.
"It's not something most of you are used to, I saw that yesterday," he said chuckling. "But that's the proper way. Plus you'll be able to kick it way further than you could with your toes. So for the next 30 minutes, I want you to kick the ball into the net, properly. Girls on that side, and you lads, this side. Single file, come on." He said before walking back to the benches. He threw 2 balls to the girls and 2 to the boys.
For the past 30 minutes, I watch him how he handles the kids. He seems so patient with them and understanding. Especially with the younger ones. I've found out the youngest one is only 5 so. He treats the little girl as if she's his own sister. If you watch him only as the coach, the way he stands, the way he looks at his trainees, the way he talks to them as a group, he talks with authority and professionally; it makes him intimidating. He speaks like a professional football player.
But when he talks to them individually, it's so different. The stern, commanding exterior turns into a cheery, soft person.
To sum it all up, he's really good with kids. He is a big brother after all so that's why.
The next hour was more fun to watch. This time Louis was actually playing with them. No actually, he's teaching how to steal the ball. He and Em passed the ball from each other. When Em was passing the ball from her foot to the other, Louis got it easily. Now I think he's teaching Em exactly how to get it. Em got it quickly because she managed to steal it from him in seconds. She's almost like... Like me.
Louis paired each Of them girl-boy. It's adorably how they play. The only person he didn't pair with anyone is the 5-year old. It's like he believes in his trainees that what they do now will take them somewhere.
When he blew the whistle, everyone went to a single file line again. It's already 11:30 which means its time for their lunch.
The other children went out the stadium with their parents, leaving me and Emily here.
Em came bouncing back to me. Doesn't she feel tired at all. She sat beside me, chugging down on her water. I wipe the sweat from her face, neck and her back.
"You need to change your shirt, Em." I said, pulling her shirt out of her backpack.
"I know. Thanks." She said snatching her shirt. She ran to the locker room giving Louis a high five as she pass by him.
He looked at my way and our eyes locked. He smiled and looked down, wiping the sweat on his face. That's actually really hot. I shake the thought away and looked down, zipping Emily's backpack.
"You ready to go?" He asked, leaning towards me.
"Uh, just waiting for Emily." I said.
"Don't you get the feeling she's trying to set us up?"
Now that he's mentioned it, I kind of do. Coming here early? Disappearing so fast? That's typical Em.
"Desperate Emily..." I said through a sigh.
"What do you do for a living Meg?" He said, pushing his hair back. I took a huge gulp. Em wasn't kidding when she said he's handsome.
"I go to university... In London."
"What are you taking up?" He asked, looking at me very intently.
"Um, Creative Media Production"
"You wanna be a director?" He asked.
"Not really. I didnt have much choice cause the other courses are expensive but I think Creative Media's starting to grow on me."
"You know whats a good practice for that? Movies." I raised my eyebrows at him. "Watching movies. Of course watching movies alone are, well, lonely unless..." He trailed off, grinning at me.
Dont get me wrong, Louis' adorable and unbelievably good looking for a coach. But I want us to be nothing more. Our relationship should just be from guardian to coach. Nothing more. We should only be talking about Emily if we ever talk!
"No, Louis... I will not watch a movie with you."
He chuckled and looked down, shaking his head. "I'd figured you'd say that" he said, standing up. He went down the bleachers until he was on solid ground. He turned back to me with a smirk.
"Just so you know, I don't ask out just any girl..."
What is he trying to prove? That he's different from other boys around here? That he's actually sincere? No! What else do you expect from a 21-year old boy, who's actually good looking, plays football and basically turn your rainy day into a bright one with just one smile? Boys like that use their looks to their advantage. And don't get me wrong, most girls find football players an instant turn on which makes me doubt his words more. But no matter how much I criticize his words, his actions...
Those words will still be stuck in my head.

AUTHORS NOTE:
A little fact regarding this story is that Emily is a little representation of my little sister.
She's also ten and she annoys the shit out of me. She opens my door when I'm asleep and either whacks me with a pillow or blasts that annoying song What Does The Fox say on her iPad. Sometimes she takes my sharpies or my bags or jewelries and doesn't return it but bottom line in, no matter how annoying and how much I fucking hater her for invading my privacy, I still love her to bits.
And that's how Megan feels about Emily as well. The irony between me and my sister and Meg and Em is that Meg only sees her sister constantly the past 2 or 3 years while me and my sister have been inseparable since she was born.
Anyway, that's just the facts :)
Hope you're going to enjoy this story! Adios!
