Chapter Eight

Oh come on Meg! Focus.
My hands fumbled when I went through my closet. I probably stood there for 30 minutes. I ended up taking out a white fit long sleeve, my ripped faded skinny jeans and my blue converse. I slipped on a green hoodie in case it gets cold later. I grab my phone and my wallet and put it in my brown satchel bag and slung it over my shoulder.

I took a deep breath and went out. I peeked through the living room and saw Rick with his daughters. One of them is Karen, shes 15, and Holly who's 17. They both giggle in the corner looking at Louis leaning by the window with his arms crossed looking out. He does look attractive. Very attractive actually.

I'm surprised he doesn't have a girlfriend. He snaps me out of my daze when he walked over. I smiled nervously as he looked down at me smirking.

"Let's go..." He said. I gulped and nodded. I was taken back when he held my hand. I swallowed hard and turned back to Em. She was smiling and giving me a thumbs up.

"Wait... I'm going with your family?" I ask him in panic.

"Yeah" He says simplyas he opens the door of his car for me. I can't put it to words so I did what he wanted me to. I sighed and slid in.

He sat in the drivers seat and turned the keys. The engines came alive and I can see the smile on his face.

"Its a long drive..." He said before pulling out of the driveway. He turned to me with a smile and I gladly returned it.

He has the most charming smile I've ever seen. The whole drive I watch as Doncaster slowly disappears from view. Occasionally I'd glance at Louis and see the smile on his face. Not long enough he parked the car at a huge amusement park.

The rides are sky high and very fast. Everything goes in loops and turns. All of it are like for dare devils and people who go for extremes. I look at Louis who has a bright smile on his face.
"You going for those rides?" I ask him.

"Yep." He said popping the P.
"Come on. The sooner were inside the more rides we can go on." By that time he's already standing at my door.

I widen my eyes at him. "We?!" I ask in shock. He chuckled and grabbed my hand. He dragged me out the car and kicked the door shut.

Soon we were in the amusement park. He looks around with a bright smile on his face. He's so smiley all the time. I don't know how I can compare myself to his enthusiastic persona. I look down and saw our hands together. It made me feel queazy inside. I've never felt that feeling since 8th grade when my crush picked up the ball for me.
I never realize someone else can make me feel the same way.

"There! I see them." He shouts all of the sudden. I looked up to see a woman who's in her early 40's with 4 girls. 2 of them are teenagers and the twins. He takes me to them with bright smiles on their faces.

"Meg, this is my mum..." He says smiling as he wrap his arms around his mother. I smiled and said hi. Why am I so nervous.

"Are you his girlfriend?" She asks right alway. I felt my insides twist. Louis eyes widen as he saw how uneasy I was.

He chuckled nervously and turned to his mum. "Nooooo, mum. We're just..... Hanging out." He said putting air quotations on the 'hanging out' part. His mum nodded but still smiling at me.

"Yeah, um, this is Lottie and Fizzy." He says going in between the two girls.

"Hi." They beamed.

"Hey..." I smiled back, putting my hands in my pocket.

"Oh my gosh! I think I've seen you before!" Lottie beams.

I looked at her confusedly. "How?" I ask her. That was stupid wow.

"When you were in high school! You used to be friends with The older sister of my friend! Stacey! Don't you remember? You went to a party with us"

She sounds like she actually know me. Ever since I was 17 and so on, things were a blur.

I smiled nervously and nodded.

"You don't remember? Awww..." Lottie pouted. Shes a jolly girl. You don't really need to wonder I mean look at his brother for instance.

"Right, that's enough. Come on Meg." He said and motioned me to follow him. I waved goodbye to his family and ran behind him.

"Which ride do you want to try first?" He asks looking at me.

"Huh? We're not going with them...?" I ask him but my voice slowly went down. I sound so stupid right now. He looked at me and I smiled awkwardly and nervously.

"Okay... I'll pick." He said and grabbed my hand. He pulled along with him to a roller coaster with like a hundred loops and turns. People are screaming out of their mind.

While we were in line it felt kind of comforting to just be able to think even for just a short time. Until we reached the entrance and Louis gave the ticket. I began to doubt whether I should really do this or not. Is it even safe?!

I went in the car thing first then Louis next. He sat so close to me that it made my breathing shallow. The bars went down for our own safety. I took a deep breath as the car began to move.
"Nervous?" He asks.
I slowly nodded and turned to face him.

His smile, there we go again. Its so heart stopping and beautiful. As corny as this sounds but its brighter than anything I've ever seen!
Before I can register my thoughts, the car began to move really fast. I held the bars really tight that my knuckles started going white. The first loop, I screamed so loud probably the loudest of everyone here. I can hear Louis laughing beside me. I catch a glimpse of him with his million dollar smile. He looked at me back and everything went slow.

Why is this happening? What did I do to deserve being on a roller coaster with a completely beautiful person?

There was another loop making me scream. The whole ride was full of heart stopping moments, sore throat and panicking. When I got down my hair was sticking up in different places and I swear a bird pooped on my jacket.
I brushed my hair with my hands just to get it in place again.

"That wasnt so bad, huh?" Louis asked as he stepped down beside me.

"Speak for yourself." I said making him chuckle.

The whole afternoon we went everywhere. We probably went to every ride here in the park.

But one.
It's called The Vampire Coven basically you're riding in an enclosed roller coaster like a cave with twists and turns, evil laughing in the background, scary sounds, glowing red eyes and probably you will see giant fangs. The entrance alone is frightening. The organ pipe of Dracula playing can be heard from the beginning of the entrance.
I don't think I can take anymore if these rides.

We were still in line but when it was our turn, I grabbed Louis by his jacket and spun him around. "You sure this is going to be the last?" I ask him. I don't know if he noticed but my voice was shaking.

"Promise. Next ride you get to pick." He said with a smile. He must have noticed my worried expression because he went behind me and slowly pushed me inside.

The first thing I saw was the face of Dracula making me scream. I felt like my heart was beating faster than the roller coaster's speed. I felt tears welling up in my eyes. My whole body went numb that moment and I burst into tears. Since I was a kid I hate vampires. Now people think they're cool and 'in' but they still scare me like crazy.

I felt someone pull me away and rubbing my back comfortingly. I opened my eyes only to meet Louis blue ones in the dark.

"Maybe this was a bad idea... I'm sorry" he said as he took me outside. I was relieved when I was in daylight again.
I sat down on the bench feeling my heart beat going back to normal.

"I didnt know you were afraid of vampires..." Louis said as he stood infront of me. He looks at me apologetically but I don't really blame him. No one does know.

"I don't blame you. No one really knows I'm scared of...." I trailed off quietly as I stood up. I felt myself shudder, looking at the entrance of the ride again.

"Then I feel honored to know that." He said with a smile. "And as promised you get to pick the next ride." He said. He's smirking then he shrugged when he realized I was looking at him. I chuckled and looked around the park.

My eyes caught the attention of a huge water slide. The splash is huge soaking everyone on the ride. A smile grew on my face like a twelve year old. I look back at him with a huge grin on my face.

"What?" He asked. Instead of answering him, I grabbed his arm and dragged him to the water slide. The line wasn't long so we were in in minutes.

A single car accommodates like 20 people. We ended up sitting in the first row with Louis in the end.
"Just to be clear, if you don't get soaked and I do, you're going to pay." He said then chuckling.

"You can try." I said laughing.

"Then try I will." He said.

The car started to move up. My excitement was way over the top. I love wet rides. Especially now that its summer and its time to make the most of it. Getting soaked in amusement parks is the best way to do it. When we reached the top, I leaned forward a bit to see how high up we are. Seconds later we were already plummeting down. Everyone was screaming even Louis but all I can do was laugh.

The whole car came crashing in the water causing a huge splash, soaking all of us. Well most of us. Only my jacket got wet.

When we got down I took my jacket off and squeezed the water out. Even if I squeeze it like a hundred times it's still going to get soaking wet.
I grabbed my bag from the station and waited for Louis outside. When he got out thats only when I realized how soaked he is, head to toe.

He looked up at me with a mock-scolding look. I shrugged and ran outside before he can catch me. He is going to make me pay.

"Wow you're soaked." I teased him.

"And you're going to pay the bill." He said with a smirk.

"No," I said wiggling my finger at him. "I didnt do anything. The water did that." I said laughing. He didnt say anything but he was coming towards me with a devilish grin. Not good.

"Let's see whose going to laugh next." He shouted as he ran towards me. I let out a squeal and break out into a sprint. But of course he was faster than I am. My only advantage was Im smaller. I'm making it sound like its a matter of life and death.

I shouted when he appeared right infront of me. I wasn't able to stop myself that I came crashing towards him. He was too strong that I couldn't get away. I heard screams infront of me then a huge splash. The splash went above the shed. My eyes widen as the water came crashing at us, soaking me in the process.

I pushed him away and pulled my soaking hair back, away from my face. I looked back only to see him laughing his butt off.
I charged towards him while smacking my jacket at him.

"Don't... Make me... Take you... To Dracula again." Each of his were cut off because he was trying to grab the jacket away from me. After how many attempts he finally snatched my jacket away from me.

"Hey give it back." I demanded but he kept switching it from one hand to another too fast. He started moving around too. Soon we were away from everyone else but he still has my jacket.

I started getting frustrated with his little game that I grabbed his arm. His mischievous grin suddenly dropped into a softer look. I find myself staring into his eyes. He finally lowered his hand but I found myself paralysed. My eyes disconnected from his and scanned his face.

I felt my heart beating faster. My stomach fluttering and my check turn bright red. I haven't even realized that the gap between us closed and how near his face is to mine. My only focus is his mouth. His lips look so soft and perfectly shaped. I began to wonder how they feel on mi-

"Ehem..."

Both of us looked down and moved away in embarrassment. We looked up only to see his mum and his sisters looking at us.

His mum exchanged a look with Lottie whose pretty pleased with what she saw.

"Are you two joining at the picnic or-"

"Yes." Louis said cutting off his sister.

His mum chuckled and looked at us. "Come on. I've got some towels in my car. Might as well get yourselves dry first."

She motioned us towards her and I didnt hesitate to follow. The atmosphere between the two of us was just awkward.

Soon I felt him standing beside me. I didnt dare to look at him.

He makes me feel different. No one has made me the way he has in a long time. He's fun and annoying at the same time but that makes me want to spend time with him more.
He makes the butterflies in my stomach come alive and my heart beat faster.

He just... Makes me happy.

I'm finally outgrowing iCarly and Victorious ! Maybe a little... It's the first step. ;)
