Chapter Thirty Six
= LOUIS'S POV =
The next morning, I came by Meg's dorm to make sure shes back. When I got there, Alanna was already gone so I assumed they were already in class.
That is until midday, I tried calling her up but I couldn't reach her. Her phone must've been switched off or died in the middle of the night. I went to their school but no one has seen her all day.
Something's not right. Definitely not right. I stood on the steps and wait for either Alanna or Milly or even Ellison to walk out the door. Right on cue, Ellison walks out the door her face in some book. I pull her aside and she looked at me surprisedly.
"Oh, hey, I didnt expect you here." Ellison say, closing her book and putting it in her bag.
"Yeah my girlfriend goes here. Speaking of, have you seen her today?" I ask her. She looks at me confusedly and shakes her head.
"We only have English and Trig together but no, haven't seen her. You think something's wrong?" She asks.
"Her phone's dead and I haven't heard from her since last night." I say.
"Did you try asking Lana?"
Right then and there, Alanna stumbles out and nearly fell on Ellison. Lucky for El, Alanna gained her balance.
"Have you seen Meg?"
We both asked at the same time.
"Didnt she come back last night?" I ask her.
"What? No! I assumed she was with you because she... Has... Not..." She trails off. She shrugs it off and continues fixing her things.
"This is wrong..." I say and lean on the railings.
"Why? She's with her old friends in high school, shes fine. She knows those people." Alanna says. Wow I'm guessing she doesn't know Carrie that much.
"Did they say where they went?" I ask her. She shrugs then shakes her head. "I dont think so... Some club but thats it." She says with a shrug as she goes to the direction of their dorm.
I look back to Ellison who looks at me worriedly.
"Let's go look for her..." She says.

"Meg, you have to get out there some time... You already missed a week of classes." My mum pounds on my door like there's no tomorrow.
"I need a week more." I groan and slouch in the corner.
It's been 2 weeks since I saw Carrie. Or heard from her. I hope she flew all the way back to Australia but even I know wherever she goes in the world, her words will still haunt me. What she's done will replay in my head until who knows when. It's been so difficult to concentrate in class or listen to anyone talk to me.
" this is ridiculous..." I heard her complain. Then I hear metal rattling so I assumed she got her keys. I heard the key enter the hole and the door swung open.
"This is ridiculous!" She said exasperatedly. I groan and rolled my eyes.
"I heard you the first time now get out..." I say and pull the hood over my head.
"If you're not going to tell me what's going on with you, I'll force you out of this house..." She says.
"Yeah, mum, you tried for the past 7 days, I don't think that turned out... ." I trailed, realizing what I've just said. She looks at me worriedly and rushes beside me. She yanks my arm and pulls the sleeves up.
