[15] Idiot

Claires POV.:

Tony told me that we needed to stop Steve and the others, he said it was my new mission. It didn't feel like a mission, it just felt wrong.

Natasha was training with me like she always did before a mission.
I learned a lot from her through that and we've became good friends.
But after long hours of fighting she stopped me.
"Let's take a break Harvey."
I nodded and walked to my water bottle. I grabbed it I leaning against the wall and sliding down until I sat on the cold floor.
Natasha already left but then I saw another girl that entered the room.

"Oh, Hey!"
It was Melody.

"Hey, did you get lost? This building is pretty huge."
I asked taking as swig of water while she took a seat on the floor next to me.
"No, I just wanted to check the training room. I thought I could sneak in and see some hot guys fighting but I guess I'm not that lucky."
She chuckled making me laugh a bit.
"Oh realIy? I thought Spiderboy and you have something."
I said nudging her shoulder and giving her a light smirk.
She just shook her head.
"No! Why does everybody think that?"
"Because first of all, he took you with him to Germany and also you are around him all the time. You guys just can't stand away from each other."
I responded as she he turned
to look at me.
"Well no we aren't together and it's not even about that. He is here for a reason and he just needed some support. I'm the only one who knew about this."
"You guys are just adorable."
I teased and took a swig of water again.
"Excuse me?"
She said offended but smiled a bit.
I gave her short smile too but it wasn't a real one.
I felt happy for her that she had her best friend or little crush but of course it brought me back to daydream again.
Melody was so lucky to have someone she kind of 'grew up' with together.
I really asked myself if I've ever had a childhood friend that maybe was still alive and searching for me maybe even that guy from my dream. But that would be very unusual and I was probably just overthinking.
"Are you also going on the mission tomorrow?"
Melody broke the Ice after a while of silence.
"Yep.."
I replied slowly nodding my 'good' mood dropping.
"Are you prepared for it? I heard they were your friends, that must be hard."
I just continued looking at the blank walls. Was I prepared for it?
"Not really..."
I mumbled and got up again without looking at her. I didn't wanted to be a burden and annoy her with my problems.
"I heard that you were on their side first. If they're your real friends they should accept your decision, no matter what."
She said before I got out the door.

Leipzig/Halle Airport

The moment I saw Cap coming from a building I could feel my heart beating faster. This is it. Even though I was still hiding behind a Car that stood behind a helicopter and waiting for my cue,
I still felt the adrenaline starting to pump through my veins.
It felt almost unreal to be here.
Tony and Rhodey already flew in in their Iron suits and landed.

They talked a bit to each other but then Steve spoke up.
"You've been busy."
"You've been an idiot! Dragging in Claire and Clint, 'rescuing' Wanda from a place she didn't want to leave,
a safe place!"
Tony said almost angry.
After a bit more of talking T'Challa jumped in behind another Truck that stood close to Steve.
"Captain."
"Your Highness."
They greeted each other but after that Steve and Tony started arguing again.

I tuned out for a bit when I turned slightly around the corner more to see what was happening better but then I heard Tony almost yelling.
"Your old war buddy killed people!"
"And there are five more super soldiers like him. I can't let the Doctor find him first. Tony, I can't!"
Steve stated but Tony couldn't resist to try and convince Rogers to stop.

"I'm trying to-...I'm trying to keep you away from tearing the Avengers apart!"
"You did that when you signed."
Cap replied, making it even harder for Tony. He wanted him to turn Bucky in and come with us. Even Natasha who came from the side stepped in trying to convince him.
But Steve didn't say anything.
"All right, I've ran out of patience.
Underoos!"
He yelled and signalized to Peter to come out.
Peter jumped on a Truck while grabbing Caps Shield and also sticking his hand together with his webs.
"Good job kid."
Commented Tony but Parker started rambling again.
After a while of Tony and Peter talking, Steve held his hands up and an Arrow shot through the webs and a man with a red suit and helmet suddenly came from nowhere and kicked Parker from the Truck while getting Cap his Shield back. It must've been Scott.
Suddenly the situation started to tense up and they began to fight.
While they had their attention on their own fights I ran as fast as I could into the airport. Then I tapped on my earpiece and started talking to Peter.

"Spiderboy, do you know where they are now?"
"Umm you know...about that...We-we have a slight problem."
He stuttered nervous.
"What Problem?"
"Melody is here, I just saw her walking around halls."
I groaned and stopped walking. We really didn't need more problems.
"Where is she right now? I'm gonna talk to her."
Peter then informed me that she was heading to some Gate but I already saw her from far away.
Melody turned around her eyes going wide and she began running to me.
"Where's Parker? Is-is he okay?"
I rolled my eyes replying.
"Yes, he's fine. I actually wanted to-"

Parker suddenly interrupted me as he walked up to Melody.
"It's okay Claire. I'm gonna bring her back to the hotel."
"What? Sorry but no. We need you here, fighting with us."
I said confused when I turned to him but then Melody spoke up.
"She's right. I'm gonna go on my own but I just needed to see if you're okay. This is a big thing and I'm just-"
She stopped and walked closer to him. They stared at each other for a moment until Parker started stuttering like a school boy again.
"I dont- I don't get it. I thought you wanted me to go to Germany?
I thought-"
"I'm just worried about you, you idiot!"
Melody stated slowly sliding down his mask.
"And I forgot something."
She said smiling but Peter still looked like a confused puppy.
Suddenly she Melody crashed her lips on his.

Then Tonys Voice came
trough the earpiece.
"Guys, where are you and what the hell are you doing?"
My eyes were still glued to the teenagers still kissing infront of me
but I responded
"Well Spiderboy is kinda busy."
"Excuse me?"
Tony asked confused.
"He's- Umm-"
In that moment Tony probably understood what was going on because he heard a kissing sound.
"Is he making out with Melody?"
He almost yelled and
I just replied with a short.
"Yep."
"Get him off of her and get started with the god damn mission!"
I flinched a bit at his voice but the tipped Peter on the shoulder.

"Hey buddy, umm I need you to get focused again."
He backed away from her still shocked from what happened
and stuttered again.
"Yeah, yeah of course. I need to- I need to go."
Melody nodded smirking and slowly started walking away.
"Good luck Spiderman."
While she turned away I grabbed his shoulder and pushed him to the opposite direction. Now he began grinning like an idiot.

"I knew it."
I mumbled and gave him a smile.
"What?"
Peter asked still kinda out of it.
"Nothing, let's just get going."
