Orion's Pov. 1 year later.
I stared into Arie's face. She was smiling at me then smiling at something behind her. It was probably Autumn. She was walking and talking now. I missed her first word and her first steps and everything in between. I hated it. I hated it so much.
"You want to make daddy cry?" She asked putting her on her lap. She smiled at me,"go ahead and say it baby."
"Daddy can you come home?" She whispered. I put my hand on the back of my neck. Both of them were still staring at me.
"Let me talk to your mommy alone okay?" I asked. She got off her lap and walked out the room. The smile fell from Arie's face when she saw mine,"you made her say it?"
"No, she said it on her own. I want to come home. She wants you to come here," she said. I frowned at her then looked at the ground.
"I want to come. You know I do. I really really want to come. I have things to deal with down here. I have a serial killer that has killed over five wolves and ten vampires. You know, I have to go. I love you. Tell her I love her too," I closed the computer and got up before she could say anything. Will was staring at me from the door.
He frowned before saying anything,"we got something. A body with your name on it."
"What?" I got up and followed him to the morgue. The morgue attendant pulled the blanket from the body. It didn't have my name on it. What was he talking about?
"Where the screwdrivers are put in the body, it makes a constellation. Orion," they explained. I stared down at the body again. He had my name on him. He was meant for me.
"Get West and Lily."
Will left the room. I stayed there, staring at the body. He didn't look familiar at all. Why did he send him to me?
"His chest wall is hard, I'm going to open him up," she pulled a mask on her face and took a scalpel. As soon as she cut into his chest, some type of smoke went into the room. It hit the vents and an alarm went off. The doors shut on their own and the vents closed.
"What is it?" I asked. She passed me a mask. I put it on and watched her cut open the chest of the man,"shit."
"What is it?" She asked. She didn't even know.
"It's wolfsbane. Deadly if inhaled. You didn't inhale it, I did," I leaned against the wall. She just stared at me as Will tried to open the door. He frowned at me then took his phone out.
He leaned against the door as the phone rung. I picked it up and put it to my ear.
"It's wolfsbane. Only I inhaled it," he shook his head at me.
"We'll get her out then deal with you," I nodded at him.
He walked away from the door. I leaned against the wall. It was an hour when people in suits came. They sprayed the morgue attendant with some type of water then pulled her out the room. I sat on the floor, staring down at my phone. Will stared at me through the window. He held a piece of paper to it.
Call Arie.
I held my phone up to the window.
I'm not going to die.
He shrugged. I sat back down on the floor and face timed Arie. She picked up and frowned at me.
"What's up?" She asked. She was frowning at me.
"I was poisoned with wolf bane. I just wanted to call you while I'm still conscious. I wanted to tell you that I loved you. You know that right Arie?" She nodded really fast.
