Chapter 45: Kill Him Before He Kills Me

Arabella's Pov

I watched Orion in the graveyard. He just sat on the ground, staring at the headstone. He never said anything before he got up. He kicked at the headstone.

"Burn in hell!" He yelled before walking away from it. He walked to me and wrapped his arms around me.

"It's going to be okay Orion," I held him tighter. He let go after a few seconds and turned to the gravestone.

"Thank you for coming with me," he walked to the car. I followed him.

He drove back to the pack house in silence. When we got there, he got out the car and went to the kitchen. I followed him. Lily and Holly were in the kitchen. Holly was holding Lily's baby girl. She was feeding her a bottle.

"Need something to drink?" Lily asked. Orion shook his head and looked at the ground.

"I've been sober for a few weeks. Can't bring myself to drink it," he said. He ran a hand through his hair,"I need to talk to you Lily."

"Of course," she frowned at him and got out the chair. She followed him out the room.

"I need a drink but can't have one," I said. Holly laughed and shook her head.

"How is he taking it?" She asked. She looked down at the baby in her arms.

"Not that well. He'll get upset and mad, then he just shuts down. He won't say anything to me or anyone," I ran a hand through my hair. Holly frowned,"I thought I knew Orion. He's suppose to be an open book to me, but he's not. He has so many secrets that he's told no one and he wouldn't tell anyone if he could."

"Orion has always been that way. He doesn't know who to trust. He's been that way since he was a kid. Davidson rescued him from getting kidnapped. Orion saw him as his hero for four years. On that fourth year, he hit him for the first time. That's when he truly shut down. He couldn't trust his hero. He has trust issues," she explained.

Shouldn't he trust me? He knows I love him. I'm his mate. How am I suppose to tell him that he can trust me?

"That's why I was his extra. I didn't know anything about him. He didn't want me to," Will said. He sat on the chair beside Holly,"Holly, don't get attached. You know Lily will claim her."

"She already did," she continued feeding her the bottle. I just stared at her then looked at the floor.

I put my hand on my back and closed my eyes. When I opened them, Will and Holly were staring at me.

"Can you feel him kick on your stomach?" She asked.

"Let me see your hand," she handed Will the baby and put her hand in mine. I laid her hand on my stomach.

She pulled away first then put her hand on my stomach. She just smiled and closed her eyes.

Orion's Pov

Lily followed me down the hallway. I stopped when I knew I was far away enough so no one else could hear me.

"Our relationship didn't work because of something I did," I looked at the ground.

"Orion," she grabbed onto my hand.

"I was being sexually and physically abused and I didn't say a single thing. That's why I act like its a game. Davidson did," I pulled my hands from her and put them in my pocket. She just stared at me with wide eyes,"that's not my excuse for cheating on you. I'm sorry."

"Why'd you stay with Arie?" She crossed her arms.

"Arie was playing the game with me. We were both cheating on each other and the people we were with. I fell in love with her the first time I met her. I knew I loved her when she called me, crying. She thought she was pregnant. I would've been okay with it," I ran my hand through my hair.
