Orion's Pov
"You told her you're going there in a week?" Will asked me. I looked up from my computer and nodded at him,"we need you here. We just got attacked by rogues two days ago. They could come back."
"You can handle it," I stood up. He just kept staring at me.
"Lily, talk some sense into him. Tell him that the plan was for her to stay there until we made it safe for her to come back. The plan was not for him to go there. He's just putting her in danger," he said. I stared at him then looked at Lily, waiting for her to try and talk me out of it. I needed to her to talk me out if it.
"Her heat is next week. He won't be in his right mind to be Alpha anyways. I can't tell him to stay away from his mate and his daughter," she said.
"There it is, it's settled. I'm going," I murmured. Will sighed and ran a hand through his hair.
I watched them as they left my office. I called Arie when they did. I wasn't expecting her to be without a shirt on and breast feeding Autumn. I really wasn't expecting it. It really turned me off.
"You got me when I was a little busy," she said. She looked down at Autumn.
"They're trying to make me not come next week. I promised you so I'm coming, but Arie, you have to learn to deal with it on your own. I can't be there every time and you know that. I'm sorry but I can't," Autumn made a noise against her chest. I frowned at her,"I hate it too. I hate it a lot Arie. I don't want to watch her grow up through a computer screen. I don't want to watch you change through a computer screen. I love you and I'm doing this for you. One day, you'll understand."
"You're a softy Orion. That's all I understand. I understand that you're doing this because you're weak and you can't protect us," her eyes darkened before she slammed the computer shut. I growled and smashed my hand through the computer. The glass stuck in my hand.
"Will, bring me Lily and a new computer," I said. He leaned against the back of my door. I knew he was listening.
"Yes Alpha," he left the door.
Lily came back minutes later with a bag. She sat on my desk as she picked glass from my hand. I winced and closed my eyes. She just kept picking the glass.
"What happened?" She nodded her head to the computer. I sighed.
"She called me a softy and she said that she's there because I am too weak to protect them. She's right," I whispered the last part to myself.
"There's nothing soft about you Orion," she said. She wrapped a bandage around my hand. I stared at her before pushing her back onto the table. I started kissing her.
I was kissing her and pulling her shirt over her head when Will pushed my door open. He was carrying a computer. I stared at him for a second before getting off of Lily. I put my hand on my face as I walked to him.
"Install a lock on my door," I said. He stared up at me then dropped the computer at my feet.
"I'm not going to help you cheat on my Luna. Kick me out if you wish. Stop me from being your beta. I don't care," he walked to me. He's never stared me dead in the face before,"you know Alpha, I'm your beta. I'm supposed to be your friend. I'm suppose to be like family to you. West is suppose to be your friend, Holly is suppose to be your sister. Arabella's your wife. Do you really want to cheat on her? Do you really want to screw Lily one time and lose your soul-mate forever? I'm your brother, I'm not going to let you do it. You know how important family is."
He looked up at me one more time before walking out the door. I stared at his back then picked the computer off the floor and walked out the office. I was about to cheat on her. I was actually going to do it. Why? Why was I going to do it? Arie didn't deserve this. She didn't deserve me.
