Arabella's Pov
A week came a lot faster than I thought it did. Orion was excited. I could see it on his face. I really wasn't. I was the no one in high school. No one knew me and I apparently knew no one else because I didn't know Orion went to my school let alone was on the football team.
The hot football player. I was going to marry the hot football player. Wow.
"You dressed yet?" Orion asked. I was still sitting on the bed wrapped in a towel with wet hair.
"Almost," he pushed the door open and frowned at me. He was already dressed, a red tie hooked around his neck.
"Do I have to help you?" He crossed his arms. I frowned at him then stepped into the red dress. I put on my black heels and curled my hair. Orion was just sitting on the bed as I got ready.
"Alright, here goes nothing," I murmured as we walked to the car.
I kissed Autumn goodbye and made sure Holly knew when to put her to sleep and give her a bath. I even made sure she knew where her back up inhalers were. She told me she knew everything and I was being overprotective.
"Who would've thought you as the overprotective mom?" Orion shook his head as he was driving. I grabbed onto his arm.
"I don't know about this," I whispered. He turned to look at me and tangled our fingers together.
"You'll be fine baby," he kissed my cheek then kept driving.
"There were all the three groups. The vampires, the wolves, and the humans. I was none of them," I looked out the window. He watched me.
"You're mine now," he squeezed my hand. I smiled at him.
My smile turned into a frown when he pulled up outside the high school building.
"Arie, what are the odds that all the hot guys and chicks from high school are old and ugly now? You got a pretty sexy mate. You're pretty hot yourself," I laughed at him as he got out the car. I got out the car and grabbed his arm. He led us into the building.
We walked into the gym. The lights were darkened and there were fancy dressed people everywhere. It was like prom all over again.
"James," Orion let go of my arm to hug someone. I just stood beside him like the awkward follower.
"What's up Ryan? I haven't talked to you in forever," the man he called James said.
"I've been busy," he turned to look at me,"this is my fiancé Arabella."
"She's hot... She's... She's that girl. The book worm," James shook my hand. I just smiled at him then looked at Orion.
It went like that for another hour. Orion introducing me to people I didn't know who I was suppose to know. They would ask if I was the bookworm. I would say yes and they'd just look from Orion then back to me. I hated it and I wanted to go home.
"A lot of people call you Ryan," I murmured against his shoulder as we were dancing to the slow song.
"Yeah."
"Alright, listen up," a woman stood at the stage. That was our principal,"prom king and queen will now have there slow dance. Orion Reed. Casey Wright."
