Orion's Pov. 6 years and 5 months ago.

I was sitting in the office talking to West, Holly, and my Alpha when I got a phone call. West just looked at me when I got the call. I took my phone out my pocket.

"Sorry, I'll silence it," I put it back in my pocket. Alpha Davidson just watched me then coughed again.

I tuned out when they started talking. I was pulled back to reality when my phone vibrated in my pocket. I took it out my pocket and read the text message.

I need you.

Why was Arie texting me in the middle of the day? I stared down at the text message before getting up. Alpha Davidson just watched me.

"I have to go, it's important," I almost tripped on the chair as I walked out the room.

I got in my car and called Arie. She picked up crying.

"Shh Arie, what is it?" I asked. I was on my way to her apartment. I've never heard her cry before. It was like a punch to the chest.

"Orion I think I'm pregnant," she whispered. I pulled over at the first store I saw.

"Okay, I'm coming over," I got out the car. She kept crying into the phone until she ended the call.

I grabbed a box of pregnancy tests and put them on the table. The woman behind me stared at them then to me. I was really trying to avoid this conversation.

"Your wife must be so happy," she murmured. I opened my mouth to tell her she wasn't my wife then closed my mouth and nodded. She didn't need to know.

I brought the tests then went out to my car. I drove to Arie's apartment then walked up the steps. She opened the door and hugged me when I knocked.

I put the bag down on the table as I hugged her.

"Let's sit down, okay?" I walked with her in my arms to her room. I sat on the bed.

"I'm sorry I called you," she whispered. I wiped her face with my hand.

"It's okay. I'm here for you. You're my friend. I'm here for you," I kissed the top of her head.

"I'm more like your friend with benefits," she murmured under her breath.

"Why do you think you're pregnant?" I asked. She pulled away from me.

"I've been feeling a little sick lately. There's a lot of other things," she looked down as she was talking.

"I don't remember sleeping with you on your heat," I murmured. I kept hugging her.

"It was the day before. The day I kicked you out. That's why I was acting like that. I didn't mean to kick you out," she wiped her face with her hands.

"Okay, you'll take a test. You'll figure out what to do after that," I nodded at her. She nodded back at me.

It was a month ago when she kicked me out. She could be a month pregnant. Oh my god. What was I suppose to do? What was I suppose to tell people if she was?

"Okay, I took it," she sat on the bed again. She wasn't wearing pants.

"Good," I kissed her neck. She smiled and pulled away from me,"don't pull away from me baby."

"You don't control me beta."

"One day you'll be saying alpha," I kissed her neck again. She turned to look at me.

"Alpha Reed, I like it," I kissed her lips then stared down at her phone when it rung,"hold on."

She picked up the phone and walked out the room. I stared at her back. Who was she talking to? I was still staring at her when my phone rung. Great.
