Chapter 24: The Awkward

[Joey's POV]

We walked downstairs to find Meghan, Luke, Kim, Cat, Shane, and Lisa sitting in a circle.. Meghan saw us walking down the stairs and scooted over so we can fit. Sawyer and I sat down next to each other and we all stayed silent. It was pretty awkward since no one was really talking. Kim started talking.

Kim:"Sawyer, I'm over you." She scooted closer to Cat.

Sawyer: "Really?"

Kim: "Yeah. I found someone else."

Sawyer: "Really? Uh, who?"

Kim started to look uncomfortable and she quickly glanced over at Cat.

Kim: "Well, Cat and I...are..uh.." The words just wouldn't come out of her mouth but I think I know where she's going with her sentence.

Joey:" Going out?" I blurted out.

Kim and Cat both looked down and nodded. I heard a small gasp.

[Kim's POV]

That was pretty hard..

I looked up and realized all their eyes were on us.

Kim: "We gotta go."

Shane: "That's all you came for? To tell that?"

Kim: You texted. C'mon Cat.."

Cat got up and so did I. We both walked out. As soon as we were out the door, I reached for Cat's hand. She held it and I smiled.

[Shane's POV]

Well, the Kim issue is over.

I glanced over at Lisa who was staring at me. I uncomfortably shifted a bit.

Joey: "Lisa's turn."

Lisa: "I love Shane! We've been together for TWO years! What makes him want to LEAVE all of that!?

Shane:" Lisa.."

Lisa: "Shane, I LOVE you, GODDAMNIT."

I looked down. I looked up again.

Lisa: "Thanks to you.." She pulled up her sleeves. "This happened."

Cuts. Red and fresh cuts.. All up to her arm.

Everyone stayed silent.

Lisa: "I don't know anymore, Shane. What made you leave me? Did I get ugly? Was I too horrifying?"

Shane: "Lisa, I'm really sorry. I didn't mean for you to do that to yourself.."

Lisa: "Please, Shane.." I could tell tears were about to pour out of her eyes. "Please.."

I got a text. Meghan nudged me. I got out my phone and it was Meghan.

//Meghan: Do it.\\

I knew exactly what she meant. I looked over at Lisa.

Shane: "Okay."

Lisa: "What so you mean 'Okay'?"

Shane: "I'm going back with you"

Lisa: "R-Really?"

I nodded. I reached over to her and kissed her. I felt the same spark I had with her when I first kissed her. I pulled away and smiled.

I looked over at Meghan who was smiling.

Sawyer: "You guys okay, now?"

I nodded.

Lisa: "Wait." She looked over at Joey "Who're you dating?"

Joey shifted uncomfortably.

Shane: "Lisa, c'mon let's go.

I looked over at Sawyer who was awkwardly playing with his fingers.

Lisa: "I want answers.."

Shane: "Lisa, I'll tell you later."

Lisa: "No! I want an answer now!"

Silence..

Joey: "Sawyer."

Lisa: "Oh.." She grabbed my hand "Okay."

Joey: "Swear you won't tell!?"

Lisa: "Swear."

He nodded.

Silence..

Lisa and I went home. During the drive home, we talked about YouTube and such. I guess it's okay that I had a small crush on Joey and a bigger crush for Lisa.. My Lisbug.

[Sawyer's POV]

Sawyer: "Well..that was quick.."

Meghan, Luke, and Joey nodded.

Luke: "I don't want to leave right now but, it's 4 in the morning.."

Joey: "You can sleep here!"

Luke: "You sure?"

Joey: "Positive."

Joey and I were in our room. Meghan left to go home and Luke was sleeping in my room. Joey looked at the bathroom and then at the floor.

Sawyer: "What's wrong, love?"

Joey: "I feel like someone going to blurt out that were dating."

Sawyer: "Oh."

Joey nodded.

Joey: "What if Lisa tells?"

Sawyer: "She swore."

Joey: "You never know."

Joey tucked himself in and fell asleep leaving me with one question.

What if she did tell?
