No one really knew my name, with the exception of the first day of school when they did attendance or faculty when they were filling out paperwork for me. Everyone calls me Stryker, like the guy from the X-Men movies, but mostly because I'm a fighter and have a tendency to vandalize things. My dad was always too busy on his business trips and my mother too busy cheating on him to give two shits, I got away with almost everything. I got a nice shiny new Corvette out of keeping my mouth shut, so why should I care?

It's not like I wasn't intelligent either; I was an honor student.

I was just a pain to deal with.

School was easy street, until the new girl showed up. She got a parking spot right next to mine, and I saw her every day after school when I would smoke on the hood of my car. She would start up small talk every time, then offer me breakfast for the next day and leave. She was so damn nice, I wasn't exactly used to it. The most I got from girls was either "Ew, he smells like cigarette smoke!" or "Damn, I love emo boys...".

She actually wanted to talk. She didn't give me some huge lecture on my smoking habit, or urge me to come to class more often...

Just.
Talk.
And that's what I really liked about her.

Even if my friend Wade would invite me to smoke at his place, I would stay and smoke on my hood to see her and talk to her. Of course I played it off like I didn't care, but I was genuinely happy to see her every time.

Which is why I was lighting up on my car right now and looking at my phone every five seconds.

She should be out here by now! This was like my second cigarette, normally she's here halfway through the first! I leaned back and tried to relax, looking up at the sky and watching the clouds roll by. I tried to even my breathing, closing my eyes and thinking about her. She was always so relaxed, so chilled out about everything...

"You're still here Stryker?"

I jumped and looked to my left, seeing her with an anime t-shirt and a pair of denim shorts with her button-covered bag. I sighed and blew out a cloud of smoke, trying regain my cool again.

"Yeah, whatever. It feels good out here. Not too much sun, not too many clouds." I told her, closing my eyes. She laughed.

"I was at an anime club meeting. We watched Fairy Tail, maybe some day you should come." She told me. I shrugged.

"Clubs aren't my scene. I have better things to do anyway. I'd rather watch my anime alone either way." I told her. "Besides, I don't feel listening to a bunch of weeaboo fangirls whenever you want to watch Iwatobi Swim Club."

"We were watching the Daily Lives of High School Boys last week." (Y/n) said. "You know, this 'bad boy' act is a little cliché." I opened an eye and looked at her, smirking.
