U, Me & She

Chapter 14 - Déjà vu

  As Chastity prepares to take Aiden to his cousin Mookie's for the weekend, she is having difficulty coping with the recent events that have occurred.  She felt Lorenzo was participating in extra marital affairs, but had no proof that this was occurring (just instinct).

  Then came the incident with Officer Bob in which she has mixed feelings.  In perspective, she feels just as guilty because he violated her in a way that we all know as rape, however, she enjoyed the thrill of it and felt like she needed that excitement at this point in her life.

  Before that situation occurred, she wanted to make an attempt to regain that excitement with Lorenzo the night she went through his phone by throwing on something sexy and performing sexual acts that she doesn't normally participate in...but woke up to find that he wasn't home yet again.

  So many things weighed heavy on her heart to where she had to lean to her left to get out of the view of the rearview mirror so that Aiden couldn't see the many tears fall from her eyes.  "Mom, are you crying?" Aiden asks as she sniffles and tells him "Baby....momma's just a little sad today."  Aiden sighs as he knows what will be coming soon to follow with her sadness as he leans his head back against the seat, hoping that it doesn't occur.

  When suddenly he hears the beat and covers his ears.  He knew it was coming and that his mother was about to sing her heart out.

  Chastity always was tone def as it proved to be an uneventful trip for poor little Aiden.

"While all the time that I was loving you

You were busy loving yourself..." Chastity belts in her best Mary J. voice.

Aiden goes to play on his handheld game as he ensures that his volume is turned completely up to drown out her singing.  This didn't help any as Chastity turns the volume of her radio higher along with her vocals.

"I would stop breathing if you showed me to ("Told!" screams Aiden)

Now you're busy loving someone else"

"Eleven years out of my life

Besides the kiss I have nothing to show ("Kids!" shouts Aiden)...

  Aiden looks over as he noticed that his mother had ran a stop sign directly in front of a parked police vehicle unintentionally.

  "Ma..(she continues singing)...Ma!......MA!"  Chastity turns the music down while looking into the rear view at Aiden.  "What?" She says as he points to the police car that followed them.

  While looking past Aiden through the rear view, she notices the vehicle as she immediately pumps her brakes to reduce her speed.  "Shit!" She says as she sees that it's Officer Bob once again following her vehicle with his bumper at mere inches from her back license plate.

  "Aiden, make sure you have your seatbelt on." She says as her heart beats quickly behind the steering wheel.  Aiden, was already buckled in and responded with "Yes ma'am."

  Chastity's heart races as she approaches her destination.  The vehicle trailed behind hers for the longest without illuminating the lights.  It almost felt like dejavu for Chastity as she eagerly awaited he turn which led to their driveway.

  Finally, she reaches hee turn and does it expeditiously as she sees the police vehicle continue down the road past them.  She can now breathe as her heart races a mile per minute.

  "Heeey!" Says Mookie as he runs out of the front entrance to greet his cousin.  Mookie and Aiden take off in their typical kid manner to go play as his mother Phyllis invites Chastity  inside for girl talk.  Chastity accepts willingly as she constantly looks abroad to see if the police vehicle will return.....
