Phillip calls Jamie routinely and has grown accustomed to hearing the greeting from her voicemail, however, this particular night she answered his call.  He took a chance in asking if he could take her to breakfast when she politely informed him that she was going downtown to Henry's to take out a couple of friends.  Phillip knows that Jamie has no friends...

Leading to these events, it did seem rather peculiar that Jamie did not entertain Phillip's desire for her.  He was always known as a lady's man as well as a heartbreaker to most.  He usually has his way of having girls wrapped around his finger.  However, she actually seems repulsed by his presence while he consistently displays a sincere concern for her well being in every way shape or form.   In this situation, you know how the old saying goes..."There's a thin line between love and hate."  Though she may feel that Phillip will still give her the world if she asked him to, she is still unaware that he has every intention to put her through a world of grief as payback.

Phillip tries to mend his broken heart with several behind the scenes activities that involve multiple sadistic acts that he feels will remove the hurt that was administered by the likes of Jamie when he poured his heart out to her some time ago at the hospital.  She shot him down in such a manner that he felt it to be nearly impossible to bounce back from.  He was made a fool of and couldn't rest comfortably at night knowing that he failed at his sincere gesture that let her know that he had every intention for her to be his lifelong partner.  His thoughts became warped during his so called healing process as he proudly takes full responsibility for much of the events that have and will take place.  As he leans back in his lounge chair while in the dark, he takes a long drag of his cigar while highly anticipating the events that are to take place tomorrow.  If everything goes as intended, his efforts may pay off in the end.

Phillips involvement:

* Buying "the gift" for Jamie, which quickly took Perez out of the equation.  It also added a new addition to her Jackson 5 collection in which she harbours the dire need to exercise her ability to stand her ground...if necessary.

* Disposing of 90% of the bodies for Jamie while she was out and about venturing through la-la-land.  It's amazing how the bodies vanish and she doesn't question the reasoning behind it....

* He bought the weapon from Edward to ensure that he had a way to be in touch with him by requesting a business card for future orders.  He made it a must to contact Edward every day since the purchase and has tracked his every last move every since.

* He felt the need to fill Officer Bob in on what was taking place so that he could potentially eliminate Lorenzo; armed Jamie so she could eliminate Dana; and ultimately, he purchased enough ammunition to eliminate Jamie and Officer Bob simultaneously to achieve full gratification when it's all said and done.

As he puts his cigar out in the ashtray to his left, he exhales the remaining smoke that fills his lungs and says to himself "It's showtime."
