Chapter 60- Rise and Shine

Dana watches the madness take place as Edward looks at her eagerly anticipating his cue from her to go ahead and drive off. She places her cell phone in the cup holder, unbuckles her seatbelt and tells him, "Wait right here, I'll be right back." Edward looks at her with a confused look as he watches her step from the vehicle while asking "What are you doing?" She closes the car door without giving a response as she hears Lorenzo honk his car horn at her while he and Aiden leave the parking lot. She waves as Edward turns around to see who she was waving at.

Upon entering, she sees Jamie sprawled out on the floor unconscious while Teresa steps to the counter to place her order. "Ma'am, I'm sorry but we can't tolerate disruptive behavior in our establishment. I'm going to have to ask you to leave. Officials are on their way." Says the manager as Teresa sighs deeply, places her hands atop the counter, leans in closely and calmly says "Okay, I understand that, but uhhh.....can a bitch get some chicken?"

Meanwhile, Dana quietly kneels before Jamie lightly smacking her face saying "Wake up bitch. C''mon, wake the fuck up you manly looking bitch." Dana listens to Teresa talk with the manager in the background as she covertly makes every attempt to awaken Jamie. Suddenly, she sees Jamie's left eye twitch as she stands to her feet and slowly backs away.

Edward waits impatiently for Dana's return as he hears her phone vibrate from the cup holder. He suspiciously grabs her phone, unlocks her screen, and goes straight to her messages to see that Lorenzo had texted her saying "What that head do tho?" He angrily tosses the phone onto the passenger side seat. Dana looks from the glass of the establishment at Edward sensing something went awry as she awaits for Jamie to be completely revived.

Teresa finally convinces the manager to place her order as an impatient customer stares at her out of disgust. "Fuck you staring at?" Teresa says to the customer as a half conscious Jamie slowly regains consciousness. Upon opening her eyes, her blurred vision slowly regains focus as the vision she sees before her is that of Dana. Jamie looks around for her purse as she spots it to her left slightly out of arms reach. Dana knows what Jamie is searching for and slowly inches her way toward the exit. Jamie stretches her arm out as a her fingers come within an inch of the shoulder strap. Finally the strap is within her grasp as Dana quickly exits the building making a dash toward the vehicle. Jamie reaches in her purse as several customers scatter from the building in fear of what she will unveil. She notices that Dana has left, however, she hears Teresa heckling the cashier and slowly begins to rise to her feet.

Upon entering the car, Dana searches the cup holder for her phone to record this occurrence and comes up with nothing. Edward tells her "You're sitting on it." as she leans to the side, retrieves her phone and immediately begins recording. Edward stares at her the entire time out of disgust while she tells him "Baby, this is about to get really good."

Teresa finally gets her order as she double checks the items within the bag saying "It's about muthafuckin' time. I was almost about to beat this staring ass muthafucka behind me ass too." Teresa grabs her bag and turns around saying "Ain't that right? Witcha lookin' a..." Suddenly, her lips meet the barrel of Jamie's pistol as Jamie says "Bite the barrel bitch!" Teresa looks at her with a confused look as Jamie presses the barrel against her lips harder. Dana stops recording and tells Edward "Ok, we can go now. Go! Go! GO!" as Edward quickly puts the car in reverse and mashes on the gas upon straightening the wheel. Before leaving the parking lot, both Edward and Dana flinch from the sound of multiple shots being fired....
