Upon listening to Lorenzo make his way up the stairway, he eases the closet door open and silently makes his escape as he pulls his keys from his pocket slowly upon approaching his vehicle. Once inside, he closes the door softly as he immediately turns the key to start the ignition, then fights through the pain to ensure a rapid getaway...
"Need backup, need backup...." Officer Bob shouts through his radio as he flees the scene in a delirious state. The dispatch responds accordingly as they send two of their nearby patrol vehicles to the location where Chastity's body remained, midway through his reporting.
After ten years of working on the police force, this is a rarity for him to request for backup as the requested backup eagerly make their transit to the location to assess the situation.
From what they gather from Bob in the rest of his reporting, he was notified by an elderly woman nearby to investigate an array of shots fired from the household and believed that he may have been hit in the process. Following his report, he was ordered by his supervisor to remain at a safe location until help arrived...but nonetheless did the complete opposite.
Approximately two miles down the road, he sees the two patrol vehicles traveling adjacent to him in opposite direction expeditiously as he flips his lights on and makes an abrupt U turn to follow along.
He turns his air conditioning to the hottest selection available as he shivers from his body's rapid temperature decrease. Feeling lightheaded, he increases speed trailing his team members as his vehicle swerves uncontrollably causing great concern to nearby pedestrians.
He rubs his hand across the stubble that developed amongst his chin as he glances at his battered face in the rearview mirror. Becoming frustrated, he once again tries to increase the temperature gage to the vehicle's heating system, only to notice that it was already blowing heated air at its maximum output.
While driving, he examines himself once again an eventually determines that his black slacks were completely saturated with blood. He also notices incisions in the cloth of his pants that went unnoticed during his first check and quickly identifies with the pain associated with those areas moments after.
Swerving to remain within the painted lines along the pavement, he looks out of his window to his left and sees Lorenzo passing him amongst oncoming traffic and provides him with an intimidating look of warning while in passing.
He says to him "You're a fucking dead man." as Lorenzo read his lips loud and clear through the tinted glass. They pass one another when suddenly his speed decreases to a very slow stroll, while his vision becomes increasingly hazy.
He sits erect and tries to shake it off, pushing the gas pedal further towards the floor of the vehicle to regain momentum. Within minutes of travelling at accelerated speeds, his head grows heavy as he slumps forward with his face pressed against the steering wheel.
His hazy vision went completely void as his patrol vehicle veers to the right heading towards a local business establishment at high speeds. With pedestrians noticing this occurrence, his vehicle collides directly into the massive brick structure as his airbags deploy immediately....

Hours later at St. Francis Memorial Hospital...
Dr. Thaddeus Smith, the handsome new lead physician for the intensive care unit, enters the room clearing his throat saying "Excuse me....(reads name from clipboard) Mister Jamie....uhh...Taylor?"
"That's Miss Jamie Taylor!" she exclaims as he corrects himself "My apologies Miss Jamie Taylor..." she cuts him off once again saying "Missssss!...as in single and not married....and available too, Dr. Smith." she says with a devilish grin upon her face.
His eyebrows raise slightly as he responds by pausing for a moment, then saying "Ohhkay, well ma'am, I wanted to stop by to let you know that it's really good to see you finally regain consciousness. After running several tests, we've determined that what you were experiencing what is called tachyarrhythmias, resulting from an excessive amount of cocaine-usage as determined by our labs..."
"Cocaine?" She asks as she sits up in the bed staring at him in disbelief. "Yes ma'am, you not only had cocaine in your system, but it was an incredible amount. You're are actually very fortunate to make such a quick recovery. If the usage of cocaine becomes or has become habit forming, I know some people that I can put you in contact with if you'd like to do a self referral."
"Doc, I have never willingly touched a drug in my life. Are you fucking serious?" she asks out of complete shock.
"Well ma'am, the substance did somehow get into your system....nonetheless, you're doing amazing. I'm going to monitor your status for a a day or so just to ensure that everything's back to normal, then we can get you your discharge papers and send you on your way."
"Okay." she says as she leans back against her pillow. He leaves as she grabs the remote control and turns the volume on the television higher as the theme to Family Guy blares through the television speakers.
She then leans to her left and notices another patient laying across the room. Unaware that he was there, she uses the remote once again to lower the volume once again to allow the man to sleep.
Looking across the room, she notices the man's work uniform hung with the name tag being displayed that read "Bob". She gathers a closer look at the stranger and quickly identifies him from previous interactions, feeling that she still has a bone to pick with him.
She quietly reaches to her side and pulls her purse towards her slowly as she reaches inside. Fumbling through, her hand rests atop what she searched for, as she develops a grin knowing that it's still there. <click, click>...
