Chapter 32 - Chain of Events

Previously…

  Lorenzo leads the way throughout the passageways of the hospital's Intensive Care Unit to visit his long time buddy Jay.  Dana falls slightly behind while responding to an incoming text message she received from her new flavor of the week… Darius.

  Once she completes her text, she hits "Send" with a devious grin upon her face, and then looks up noticing that Lorenzo is now several feet ahead of her as she picks up the pace to catch up.  While walking swiftly, she suddenly comes to a complete stop upon hearing Jamie's voice from the inside of a room.   She quickly dashes behind a nearby stanchion and hides out of Jamie's direct line of sight.  She waits as Jamie and Lorenzo get reacquainted with one another.

   The hospital staff members look at Dana in a questionable manner in passing as she asks herself "Why do I keep running into this bitch?"   She continuously peeks around the corner waiting for the coast to be clear.   Her heart pounds exceptionally fast as she knows that her life will be in danger if she is spotted by Jamie.  She peeks around the corner once again to notice that Jamie and Lorenzo have entered the room and that NOW is as perfect of a time as any for her to swiftly make her get-a-way.  Speeding around the corner, she vastly approaches the elevator that lead to the parking garage as she presses the button that displayed the down arrow multiple times in hopes that this will force the elevator doors to open faster.

  <ding> goes the elevator door as she lets out a sigh of relief upon stepping inside.

  Before the doors close completely, Dana leans against the back wall of the elevator, pulls her small baggie of powdered substance from her coat pocket with her jittery hands, scoops a small portion of it using her pinky nail, then proceeds to sniffing it via her left nostril.

 “Mmmm, now that’s good fucking shit!” she says as she rubs her nose vigorously …

Meanwhile…

  Jamie opens the door to the room as she and Lorenzo quickly find that they are impeding on intimate activities.  The sultry Nurse Williams knelt before the battered Officer Bob in a manner that nearly forced Jamie to step back into the passageway to allow the two to continue.

  Lorenzo had to take a double take and slowly identified that the man was indeed the very same officer, further developing a sense of fury that was revisited from previously.  Like dejavu, this would be Lorenzo’s second time interrupting the officer while he was receiving felacio and found this occurrence to be extremely coincidental and upsetting.

  Jamie makes every attempt to pull Lorenzo by his arm toward the passageway as Lorenzo refuses to budge.   Suddenly, like that of a scene of a horror movie, the two of them witness Officer Bob’s eyes become inherently wider as Nurse Williams turns her head to the side and spits his remaining penis from her lips, while all four of their eyes follow it as it glides a considerable distance amongst the tile.   

  All three of them scream in unison from the horrific nature as Jamie and Lorenzo cringe sympathetically.  Upon realizing what just occurred, Officer Bob’s eyes begin to glaze over as his body could no longer support his weight any longer and he passes out.   Upon his collapse, Nurse Williams looks back at Jamie and Lorenzo with a crazed look about herself while using her sleeve to wipe the trail of blood that leaked down the sides of her lips.

  She rises to her feet, grabs her bag of sunflower seeds and proceeds to heading toward the exit.  Lorenzo watches her walk out of the door and makes a comment by saying “Damn she got a Phata$$...” 

 
Currently…

  Jamie and Lorenzo have come to the conclusion that they definitely need to depart the hospital premises immediately.

  Lorenzo fears that he may get questioned and knows that he has way too many warrants out for his arrest to even take such a risk.

  Jamie, who already had a difficult time sleeping in the same room as Officer Bob, knew that there will be no way that she can sleep in that same room comfortably following these events. 

    They pull the room door closed as they make their way down the passageway looking extremely suspect.

  As they approach the corner that lead to the elevators, Jamie looks back clutching her purse as Lorenzo tries to catch the elevator doors prior to them shutting completely.

  Reaching out his foot, the doors close atop it, then reopens automatically as the two quickly step inside.  Lorenzo presses the button leading to the parking garage as he notices Jamie facing in the opposite direction, suddenly reaching inside of her purse.  Not sure what's going on, he looks back to see Dana stand before them with a powder stricken nose.

"Ain't no running now bitch!" Jamie says as she reveals her weapon from her purse.

Dana watches out of fear knowing that there is no escape and suddenly hears....
