Part 29

"Scotty huh?" Maya grinned at him with bright eyes.

"Yea, I like hearing you say my real name." Scotty admitted cheekily with a red solo cup in his hand.

 "Uh okay. Come on let's go say hi to Abigail and tell her we are here. It can't be that bad and awkward right?" Maya said with a sweet smile.

"Yea it looks like she is sitting with that group on the couch." Scotty said taking Maya's hand with his free one.

They walked over to the couch and Yeah, yeah and Ham were with the group and Abigail was in the middle of her cheerleader friends.

"Abigail happy birthday kid." Scotty said as Abigail looked at him with an unimpressed glance.

"So where is Benny?" She piped looking over his shoulder.

"Uh he is grounded he couldn't make it." Scotty said.

"So you brought her  instead?!" Abigail huffed knocking Scotty's drink out of his hand instead.

Scotty looked very intimdated by her but after she realized other people were staring she straightened out her outfit and composed herself again.

"Oh I have an idea, guys take  a seat." She said with a sly grin. Maya was hesitant but Scotty sat down quickly it was clear he was still intimated by her.

I took a seat next to him so I was between Scotty and Yeah, yeah. Maya thought to herself that she had to admit Yeah, yeah looked pretty good in a plaid flanned with a tank top underneath and some jeans but he did his hair really good. He did a little quiff and slicked back the sides. Another plus was that he smelled good People that smelled good always got to Maya.

"Okay guys, let's play truth or dare." One of Abigail's friends said speaking for her.

"Oh god this outta be good." Ham said chugging down his drink before resting it on the coffee table.

"What? It's a birthday  party not a ten year old sleepover!" Maya whisper yelled toward Scotty freaking out. She just didn't have a good feeling about this because Benny wasn't here.

"It's okay relax. You don't have to do anything you don't want to do." Scotty said taking another sip of his drink.

Maya waited for the game to start and picked her nails nervously wishing she had a baseball to twirl in her hands.

She never liked this game.

"Yeah, yeah truth or dare?" Ham asked him.

"Truth!" Yeah, yeah smirked.

"What a weenie! But okay ummmm what was the worst thing you have ever done to a friend." Ham said unentertained by his question. But still they all waited for his reply.

"Probably letting go of such an amazing friend. I am sure you were fine on your own but I still missed you and glad you came back. We love ya Maya!" Yeah, yeah smiled and some people awed and Yeah, yeah and Maya shared a nice friendly hug and she was positive if the whole crew was there it would have turned into a group hug but everyone was scattered about the party. Her nerves lessoned after this moment.

"Okay, okay. So Abigail truth or dare." Yeah, yeah said continuing the game.

"Truth of course." She said and flipped her hair.

"Okay uh, this is hard. Hmm Okay I have one. One word to describe five people. Ham, Benny, DeNunez, Maya, Me." Yeah, yeah said.

"Ugh, okay. Ham, round. Benny, mine. DeNunez, family. Maya, snake. Yeah, yeah, attractive." Abigail stated examining her manicure before watching Yeah, yeah's face flush with shock.

"Okay my turn. Smalls truth or dare." She said to Scotty.

"Truth." He said adjusting his cubs baseball hat.

"Awe come on everyone has been picking that! Pick dare!" Abigail's friend whined.

"Uh, okay Dare." He said.

"Easy, kiss someone. Not just anyone. Kiss someone you wouldn't mind dating on the lips. Kiss someone you would never date on the cheek." She said.

"What? There is like three girls here playing that isn't fair." Scotty said as his face got red.

"Do it." Abigail said sternly.

Maya saw Scotty look at her for a moment.

"On the cheek Scotty, on the cheek." Maya pleaded.

"Maya," He sighed.

"Abigail's friend is my ex-girlfriend let me do this." He whispered leaning in.

Maya was never more nervous in her life. She was hoping to run away but she was locked in her seat next to him on the couch.

"I-I." Maya stammered.

Before she knew it Scotty was kissing her softly with the eyes of the group locked on them. She had her eyes shut feeling shame as Scotty still hadn't pulled away and pulled her closer into the kiss while still remaining soft and gentle there was something still so intimate Maya felt guiltier with every second.

She had nowhere to put her arms so she rested them on his shoulders to remain comfort and they still kissed each other until Maya felt somewhat at ease and she started kissing him harder. She couldn't deny he was phenomenal at kissing and felt like she should relish in the moment since there is no going back now.

She felt his finger tips softly graze her waist before his hands grabbed them and pulled her waist into his torso again as they parted the kiss for air and Scotty reinitiated it again and Maya could tell he was thinking about every move. His hand slid down to Maya's leg softly stroking her thigh-

"Smalls relax. You did the dare come on man." Yeah, yeah said pushing him off of me.

Scotty panted hard before rubbing his hands with his face.

"No, he is not done. He still has to kiss some one on the cheek." Abigail stated snottily.

"Okay." Scotty said while he cleared his throat walking over to his ex-girlfriend as she frowned and kissed her keel quickly before walking back to his seat next to Maya.

"Okay I think this game is done thanks Abigail happy birthday." Yeah, yeah said ushering Maya and Scotty out of the living room so they were alone outside on the porch.

"Smalls take her right home. I know it was just a dare but that was not just a kiss. I can't believe this. You know what, Smalls just go home. I got Maya, I don't want to take any chances." Yeah, yeah said angrily.

"Yeah, yeah I feel bad. I love Benny I don't want to hurt him. It was just a kiss. Right Scotty?" Maya said feeling the rush of guilt flood back.

"Sure." Scotty said avoiding eye contact with both of them before storming off to his car.

"You tell Benny first thing tomorrow Maya. Tell him it was a dare. Tell him it was a kiss. You better not lie to my friend." Yeah, yeah said sternly.

"And how am I supposed to do that?! He is never going to talk to me again." Maya said.

"Benny loves you. Just tell him the truth." he said pulling up to my house.

"It's a lot harder than you think. Will you still be my friend though?" Maya said remembering how fast they all sided with Benny two years ago.

"No matter what I am not losing you. I hope none of us do." Yeah, yeah said before hugging her as Maya climbed out of his truck.

Maya climbed into bed and worried about tomorrow all night long.
