Chapter 10 - Mr. Popular's Decision

After we had breakfast, Shiro and I walked to school.

While walking, the air was really awkward. Weren't really what they call "A couple" because as far as I know, I haven't answered Shiro's confession yet.

But even though weren't a couple, I think we do act like one.

We walked to school with earphones in our ears. He has the left one, and I had the right one.

I observe how we walk and our surroundings. Well, It's absolutely awkward and we were dead silent. None of us taking the initiative to break the ice. I feel uneasy even though I have no reason for it. I don't know if I'm nervous or scared or restless. 

Walking with him feels like we have a long way to go. It's like an never ending path.

A minutes after, We arrived at school and as usual, everyone was looking at us. Girls who normally fan girls and squeal whenever Shiro arrives at school fell silent. They were daze at the new scenery.

Some girls started to murmur and for sure they're about to spread gossips again. And some other girls, their eyes were like flames of fire because of jealousy. Every move, every step, every bit of air we breathe is being watch and for sure, in the minds of these jealous girls, I was stab or killed inside their heads. 

It feels like the hallway became a big stage ramp and everyone is watching at us walking. I had a heavy feeling in my chest and I can feel something bad will happen.

Unfortunately, While walking, Shiro's friends grabbed him and pulled him away from me.

I stared at them with a curious face for a minute and then I proceeded on walking.

When I arrived at the classroom..

My heart stopped from beating,

My eyes started building tears in my eyelids and bit by bit started falling.

My body was paralyzed, because of that, It feels my feet is stuck on the floor.

I want to run and scream but I was dumbfounded.

But I bear the feeling and ran.

Tears kept on falling again and again, until I bumped to Shiro.

But even though I saw and bumped to him at the same time, I continued to run and passed him by.

He followed me and grab my shoulders and he saw me crying.

SHIRO'S POV

I saw megumi's crying face again and that broke my heart.

I kept on asking her what's wrong but she's not answering me.

I wiped her tears with the end of my sleeves and held her right cheek.

Her face was flushed red and her cheek was really warm. I think she cried even more today.

Suddenly, I heard a bunch of girls running towards us and I have no choice but to cover Megumi up. I grabbed her arm and we hid inside a locker. 

MEGUMI'S POV

Shiro suddenly pulled me and we hid inside a locker.

He covered my mouth with his hands and said, "Shhh.."

Out of the blue, We heard bunch of girls in front of the locker.

We can hear them looking for us. I can heard that they kept on haunting and insulting me. I took a little peek but Shiro covered my eyes with his left hand and hugged me with his right one.
