Chapter 14 - Meet Haru Yoshino

I know something was bothering him. Well, I know we just met but I want to help him. 

"Uhmm, it's not that I want to mind your business but may I know what is it?"" 

"You won't tell anyone right?" 

"Of course I won't and to whom would I tell that?" I answered sarcastically. 

He sighed and started to narrate it. 

"Well, I was born from a rich family but when I reached 8 years old, my dad's company was bankrupt. Luckily, we have enough savings and it is enough for us to start a new business again, but my dad decided to start at the bottom and get some working experience to enhance his working skills. 

My dad was lucky and he got what he wants and my dad invited my mom to join him at his work. Because my mom knows how to operate a business she accepted my dad's offer. 

I grew up with no one else to be with except my personal maid, My childhood wasn't that happy. I locked myself at my room and trying to entertain myself with video games."  

Wow, Haru and I  are really much alike. 

"I was always the highest student at my school but my parents didn't notice it, They never gave me the attention I really need. I don't have any siblings  to be with. Sometimes my mom talks to me but I can't open up to her. well, maybe it's because I grew up apart from my parents.

I'm really jealous at my classmates because they have a simple family, even though they're not rich but at least they are complete." He sighed, "But what is it I can do? That's what my parents want." 

Haru stopped from narrating and he was really down about it. 

"I'm sorry if I ask you and forced you to tell me that." 

"Nah. it's fine." He  scratch the back of his neck.

"But you know, I feel your pain, Well, I grew up with my parents and they gave me the attention that I need but there are some things and certain people who made me sad." 

"Ohh, let me guess, you had a boy friend once right?" 

I was shocked and that question make me to scratch the cheek lightly "Uhmm, yeah...How did you know that?" 

"Well, it's pretty obvious. and based on your story, I think I can see it right through you. You're an open book and more transparent that you think."

I just nodded with his conclusion, "Uhmm, yeah. but It kinda feel weird." 

He smirked and ruffled my hair. "Ughh! stop doing that!" He chuckled and stared at me. 

I looked at him with one brow raised.

"Something wrong Haru?" 

He moved his face towards mine and that made me blush, and because of that I fell on the floor. 

*BAM* 

"Hahah! you okay?" He teased. 

"I hate you so much!" I answered angrily. 

I stretched my hand and said, "Help me get up! it's all your fault that I fell!" 

He rolled his eyes and "Okay, fine." 

He pulled my hand and  pulled me towards him, causing him to hug me. 

I was wondering why is he like that? like seriously? He was like that ever since we met earlier. 

He held my cheek and stared at me, "I think I like you."  

That really shook me and shove him. 

"What?! wait, whoah! We just met and you... uhmm, you. like me?"  Wow, seriously, it take a lot of guts to say that! 

He sighed, "Yeah, I don't know, I'm sorry. maybe I was just carried away."

"Uhhh, yeah sure." 

I stood up and said, "I have to go. Thank you for today. take care." 

I quickly grabbed my bag and ran. 

While walking home, his voice were like music in my ears and it was playing over and over and over and over again. I blushed and people were looking at me, I think they thought I'm sick. Ughh! I hate this. 

 I exhaled and I look at the sky,  I told to myself, "I don't want to love anymore."  

I arrived at our house and I lean my body on the on the back of the door and I fell on my knees.I continued to blush and I can't believe my life is now like this. As far as I remember, few years ago, I was lonely, and I'm a friendless person. 

And I know, I'm not popular so no one will like me. But now, my life is slowly changing and obviously, it's changing on the opposite way. I went to my room and I lay my body down on my bed while I continue to think about this crazy life I have now.

"Shheesh! What have I got myself into?" I whispered to myself. 

I reached out at my table lamp and I picked up an old photo. Tears were started to fall as I reminisce the past. I caressed it and stared at it. 

"Kiyoshi, I wish you were here, I wish you didn't have to leave me." I said as tears rushed down on my cheeks.
