"She was chaos and beauty intertwined a tornado of roses from divine."

Leaving the weapons room was like a breath of fresh air for Mataya. No longer trapped in a room of sadness and heartbreak, she was able to breath without the pain of her heart slowly cracking into pieces. She was free from it all, and she was able to focus on the pain throbbing in her hand and the task at hand - finding everyone and getting as far away as they possibly could before disaster struck again.

Walking down the corridors, turn after turn had become tiresome and Mataya yawned, stretching her arms out with a soft groan escaping her lips before she was hit in the stomach to stop. She groaned, doubling over for a second as she gave Minho the stink eye.

He pointed to his ear and she froze, her eyes scanning the dimly lit room of bright red with curiosity. She grew frustrated when she grew short of hearing absolutely nothing but when she opened her mouth to speak, she was suddenly cut off by a distant moan.

Her eyes flickered to Thomas and he raised an eyebrow, taking a step closer to the direction of the sound.

The moan came once again.

Slowly, Minho placed his extra weapons on the ground and made his way over. Thomas and Brenda followed suit while Newt placed the box of ammo on the ground. Mataya decided to keep her makeshift blade with her as they tip toed towards the sound.

Mataya felt apprehension crawl up her spine the closer they got to the sound. Her stomach twisting in knots of excitement and fear of not knowing what was to come. Minho and the others had stopped, and she watched the leader lean against the side of the door frame and take charge.

Minho truly was the leader in her eyes.

"Ready," He whispered. "Now."

He pivoted his body into the room and raised his Launcher into the dark room just as Thomas moved to one side to cover, and Brenda went to the other side, making Mataya stand behind them and Newt stand back to watch guard.

There was no movement in the room and that confused Mataya to no end. The red glow from the emergency light wasn't enough to give them a clear view of the room. Mataya went to step forward but Minho and Thomas both held her back, their eyes cascading to the ground as she did so.

Mataya looked at the two boys before following their gaze down to the black mounds on the ground and slowly she was able to make out the bodies. She looked back up at Thomas and he adverted his gaze to her also, obviously confused.

"They're guards!" Brenda said, breaking the silence in the room.

Mataya had trouble seeing it at first, squinting her eyes in the darkness of the room to make out mouths covered in tape and bulged eyes full of worry. They were tied up and laid out on the linoleum flooring from head to toe, side by side, filling up the entire room.

"So this is where they all are," Minho breathed from in front of her.

Mataya wiggled her way between the two to get a better look at the guards. Some struggled against the restraints but others sat calmly, accepting the fate that had been present. Thomas' hand brushed hers and she sighed.

"We need to question them and find out what happened." Brenda said, moving into the room.

"Or we could kill them." Mataya shrugged.

Thomas stepped forward and grabbed Brenda, making Mataya blink and look towards his grip on her arm with a burning rage. "No." He said.

Mataya narrowed her eyes at them still, "I guess the killing it is, babe." Mataya smiled, cocking her head to the side as she eyed Brenda. "Sorry Bren. Maybe next time."
