The first thing Calum spotted when they arrived at Ice Dream after school was a head of black and white hair sitting next to a blonde.
"And I'm leaving..." Calum said, turning on his heel and bumping straight into Ashton.
"Oh no you don't," Ashton muttered, spinning him back around by his shoulders, "we came here for ice cream, we're going to get ice cream."
"But.."
"No buts, ice cream." Ashton said firmly, pushing Calum towards the counter.
"The whole point of us coming here was to get me away from Michael and he's sitting in the same fucking shop as me!" Calum hissed.
"You don't have to talk to him," Ashton replied.
"His presence is enough," Calum growled, shooting Michael, who was laughing at something Luke had said, the dirtiest look he could muster.
"Will you two ever just get along, even if it's just for two seconds."
"Don't be ridiculous Ash, 0f course we won't, he hates me, I hate him, that's how it always was and always will be."
"Thomas seems to disagree." Ashton argued, "and when has Thomas ever been wrong about something."
"He had to make a mistake someday," Calum replied stubbornly.
"Can I help you?" The girl behind the counter snapped irritably. "Or do I have to wait for you to finish your gossip session."
"Sorry," Ashton mumbled, rolling his eyes discretely. "Can we have a chocolate fudge sundae and a mint chocolate mountain please?"
"We're out of mint chocolate ice cream I'm afraid," The girl replied, not seeming to be the slightest bit bothered, "you can have anything else off the menu."
"Well, I'll have the... Strawberry Sundae then." Calum said, checking the menu.
"You'll order will be ready in a couple of minutes, please take a seat and we will bring it to you."
"She's cheerful," Calum whispered to Ashton as they went over to the table as far away from Michael and Luke they could get. "I love servers who greet you with such enthusiasm."
"Don't mind her, Luke says she's always like that-"
"Oh well if Luke says," Calum teased, holding his hands above his head. Ashton stuck his tongue out at him.
"Shut up Calum."
"Oh look who's here Lukey, my roommate for the week. What a coincidence." Michael approached their table with a smirk on his face. Calum groaned and smacked his head off the table.
"I swear if you take one step closer I'm going to end you," he muttered, not lifting his head.
"What are you going to do Hood? Joy'll ground you if you're not "nice" to me."
"She doesn't have to find out."
"Oh, hard man are we. Are you always this aggressive or is it just the lack of sleep kicking in?" Calum glared at Michael, wishing he could punch that stupid smirk off his face.
