Calum wasn't sure what to do while he waited for his mother and Michael to come home. At first, he sat in his room, scrolling through Facebook on his phone, but he couldn't concentrate because he was nervous about being in the same room as Michael again. He wasn't sure what he was going to say or how Michael would act. There were too many variables and possibilities.

After abandoning his phone, Calum went downstairs and made himself a sandwich, but halfway through eating it found that he wasn't hungry. His mother wouldn't be home for another half and hour at least and Michael would be longer still.

Calum had a weird feeling in the pit of his stomach that he couldn't explain. It wasn't painful but it was uncomfortable enough to not be ignored or forgotten about. He had no idea where the feeling had come from, but he was sure it had something to do with Michael.

Calum didn't know where he stood with Michael. He may have started talking to him again but he hadn't fully forgiven him for pushing him to tell about his Dad. However, he couldn't be horrible to him in case Michael decided to use it against him.

And there are some things that you can't tell someone and not get along with them. Calum reckoned opening up about your dad behind bars was one of them.

Yet, despite reluctantly being civil with Michael, part of Calum was quite happy they were speaking again. Michael had shown of side of him that Calum had never seen before. He'd reassured Calum that his mum wouldn't hate him when he came out, he'd made Calum feel safe after a nightmare and Calum had to admit, he was kinda fun to be around.

Sometimes.

Calum was conflicted. He didn't want to like Michael, but he was finding less reasons to hate him the more time he spent with him. Michael was still Michael. He was still rude, obnoxious, dirty minded and loud but so was Calum just slightly less so. Michael was also kind, funny and a good loyal friend to Luke, Thomas, Ashton and the others. Michael hadn't changed, he had just shown more of him than usual.

Maybe Calum and Michael were more alike than Calum wanted to admit.

Joy came home to find Calum lying upside down on the sofa, his feet dangerously close to kicking a picture of hisself and Mali off the wall.

"Calum, what are you doing?"

"I'm trying to see what the world looks like in Britain." Calum replied sarcastically. Joy shook her head, holding back a smile.

"Why?"

"I got bored." Calum shrugged, kicking his legs round so he was sitting up straight.

"Is Michael still at Luke's?"

"No, he's got a detention, he is coming here tonight though."

"Did you two sort it out?" Joy asked tentatively, watching carefully for her son's reaction.

"I guess you could say that."

"So you're not going to be at each other's throats?"

"I'm not saying we won't argue at all, it just won't be anywhere near as bad as in IceDream yesterday." Calum explained as he lounged across the sofa. "We kinda came to a mutual agreement that if he knows about Dad, we might as well be civil. I'm guessing it would a bit stupid not to, after telling him something as big as that."
