Calum couldn't get Michael off his mind over the next few days. When he thought he'd stopped thinking about him, he started thinking about him again. Sitting next to Michael in Maths was more stressful than the class itself as it seemed Michael had given up on the subject and was intent on distracting any sitting within three feet of him from it too, Calum especially.

"Have you noticed that you mutter to yourself when you're trying to concentrate?" Michael asked Calum, resting his head on the palm of his hand.

"Surprisingly, yes I have. It's amazing how I'm able to tell when my mouth is moving." Calum replied sarcastically, not moving his eyes from his jotter.

"How else do you make your mouth move?" Michael asked, wiggling his eyebrows. Calum glanced over at him, rolling his eyes.

"You are the worst Michael Clifford." Calum told him disgustedly. "Cleanse your mind!"

"You love it." Michael taunted, smirking at Calum.

"I really don't."

"You're cute when you're concentrating." Michael said a couple of minutes later, causing Calum to roll his eyes again.

"Are you going to shut up at any point during this lesson?" Calum asked exasperatedly. "Some of us actually want to pass this class."

"Why? When will you ever need.. quadratic equations in your life?" Michael asked, reading the title on Calum's jotter. "You have really neat handwriting by the way."

"Are you feeling okay? You've never complimented me so many times in such a short period of time."

"It's just.. It's so hard for me to keep my true feelings in any longer." Michael sighed dramatically, in his fake high pitched voice, twirling a faded strand of hair around his finger. "I've only been pretending to hate you, I'm actually madly in love with you."

Some people in the row in front of them turned around and stared at them, making Calum blush bright red. Michael grinned at them, waving sweetly at them, still twirling his hair around his finger.

"Haven't you ever seen a boy confess his love before?" Michael said to them sarcastically.

"Michael, drop the act and leave me alone. I'm trying to concentrate."

"Oh, am I distracting you?" Michael asked, moving his chair closer to Calum's.

"Michael." Calum growled, glaring at him from the corner of his eye.

"I knew you couldn't resist me."

"You got me." Calum muttered sarcastically. "I can't stay away from your wonderful personality. You're such a joy to be around."

"You're so kind." Michael replied, placing his hand on his heart. Calum shook his head, trying to conceal the smile that was creeping onto his face. He shot a shy glance at Michael, after he had finally given up trying to distract him and was doodling on his jotter and smiled at how adorable Michael was when he was concentrating.

Shit. Calum thought.

"Ashton. You were right. The only way me and Michael could have ended up cuddling would be if we had an attraction to each other and I can say that it is at least one sided." Calum explained to his best friend very quickly and quietly as he pulled his into a quiet area of the corridor, almost so quickly that Ashton couldn't understand him.
