The next morning, Calum was already dressed and out of the room before Michael had even sat up. Michael groaned as he got out of bed, knowing it was his fault for mentioning Calum's dad. He was certain that Calum was going to mad at him, even madder than he usually was.

He stretched as he walked out of the room, running his hand through his messy hair.

"Calum, I know you're in there." Michael said, knocking on the bathroom door. "Hurry up, I need a piss."

Calum didn't answer.

"Calum." Michael groaned, knocking on the door again.

"Michael." Calum responded in a mocking tone form the other side of the door.

"Calum don't be like this."

Again, Calum didn't reply.

"The silent treatment, real mature Hood." Michael muttered. He heard Calum moving around in the bathroom, but the door remained locked.

"Calum, I swear to fucking God..."

Suddenly the door opened and Calum shoved past him, refusing to look at him as he passed. He was angry at Michael for nosing into his business, his past, that even if he did want to talk about it, he wouldn't tell Michael about. Michael rolled his eyes and shut the bathroom door. It was going to be a long day.

"Calum wait up." Michael called after Calum as he left the house later that morning. Calum kept walking, forcing Michael to run to keep up.

"Y-you can't..ignore me...all day." Michael panted, holding his side as he struggled to breathe.

"Watch me."

"Why are you so touchy about it?" Michael asked. "I mean, it can't of been that bad, could it?"

"You have no idea." Calum said angrily. "Just drop it Michael."

"You seem to hate him."

"You're observant." Calum scoffed, kicking a stone along the pavement. Michael ran his hand trough his hair again, biting his lip as he thought.

"You can't hate him that much, I mean, you still have the guitar he gave you, and there are photos of him in your hous-" He was cut off by Calum grabbing by the shirt and shoving him against the wall to their left.

"What part of drop it don't you understand?" Calum growled. "I don't want to talk about my dad. I haven't mentioned him in 5 years for a reason!"

"It was an innocent question." Michael protested.

"Why would I tell you anyway? And why do you care? I hate you, you hate me. So stay out of my business and I'll stay out of yours!" Calum let go of Michael's shirt and walked away, muttering angrily under his breath.

Michael swallowed, adjusted his shirt and followed him, keeping his distance in case Calum got mad at him again.

What could Calum's dad possibly of done to make Calum hate him that much? Michael really hoped he hadn't done anything to hurt Calum, otherwise he would feel bad for being so nosy, but surely Joy wouldn't bring him up if he'd hurt her son. Michael pondered all possibilities he could think of on the remainder of the journey. He'd ruled out abuse, because Joy still brought him up and had pictures in the house. He'd ruled out him dying because Calum wouldn't hate his dad for dying. Eventually, he ran out of scenarios and gave up.
