Wario guffawed and slapped his thigh.
"well, Wario then. Do you know where Articuno is likely to have gone?" I asked, beginning to grow impatient from his lax attitude.
"Relax, relax! I know exactly where she's gone. She's gone to a place I like to call deadland. I mean... That's not what it's called but that's what I call it!" he laughed again and I slammed my sworn into the ice in front of him.
"where is Articuno?!"
"It's called Termina! I'll take you there if you like but it's a hard journey to make! It's even harder to get back but I've done it enough times so hey why not give it a crack? Heh?" he said, eyes screwed up and on his knees before me. I retracted my blade and apologised for my outburst. We left the Frost Cavern and continued on east, past the border of Kalos and into a forested area. We cane across a hollowed oak, with a seemingly bottomless Pit instead of a root structure.
"there's a pool of water at the bottom, it's tight but if you manage to land it you'll be safely in Termina." Wario said, clearly holding back on details
"and if we don't make it?" Owain asked
"then... Well, you go splat on the floor I guess and that's the end of you!" he laughed again in his annoying way he did, but quickly stopped as he saw the three of us staring at him angrily.
"you guys go ahead. I'll look after Zapdos here. I've had enough experience with Articuno to know my way around a legendary bird like this!" Wario said as he slapped a hand onto Zapdos's neck. Zapdos snapped his beak at him to ward him off and he quickly retracted his hand and took a step away
"... I'll be fine... I hope... Anyway, you guys go ahead!".
Pit flew down first and shouted up that he thought it was about a 50 foot drop and that the pool of water was deep enough to land in and that we should just jump it.
Owain was full of bravery and stood at the edge first. He spread his arms and shouted
"FOR YILISSE!" as he leant over and fell down the hole head first. I heard a splash and whooping from Owain as he joined Pit at the bottom.
I stepped forward. I took a deep breath and I jumped...
