"Yeah! Let's go guys! Let's go kick some psychic butt!" Pit said. Samus cringed in her usual fashion before adding to Pit's remark
"Mewtwo hasn't got nothing against us. I say we move in on the dastard this second. Let's fly guys!"
Lugia beat his wings and a tailwind blew, giving us all a boost in the right direction to start us off. Articuno coated her feathers with icy fragments, small sparks began to bounce off Zapdos's talons, and Moltres's flames burnt a little brighter. The birds were preparing themselves for battle, they knew what was coming as they'd faced Mewtwo before.
"I hate to say this to you..." Wario started as we flew increasingly faster "but I don't think I'll go with you into Cerulean Cave. I don't have a weapon, not that I'd know how to use one if I did, and so I'd be useless in a battle and I'd either end up a helpless burden or dead. As much as I'd love to support you all, I can't. If only I were Mario, then I'd be fearless enough to-" Wario was cut off by Lugia's voice in all our heads
"I believe your logic is faulted. Mario deserted what he'd made a promise to protect. This, in my many thousands of years of wisdom, constitutes a coward at heart. You have made no promise to my knowledge that binds you to fight alongside your friends today. Furthermore I know that, had you so promised, you would indeed attempt to fight despite your inability to use a weapon. This constitutes a man worthy of praise. Making the choice not to fight does not, by any measure, make you any less of a hero."
"you really think so?" Wario teared up at the beauty and sentiment of Lugia's words.
"you bet! You're still an honest and humble man, which is more than what can be said about your cousin." Pit said.

We glided down to the mouth of a cave. A roughly carved staircase led downwards into an abyss of black. The birds had taken down the dozen or so scout Dragonites that were around the cave on our way down with relative ease. We dismounted and all turned to Wario.
"This isn't goodbye, friends. I'll be waiting here to see each and every one of you glorified by historians that are to gather for interviews over the next months to hear of your amazing work. You hear me? All of you! Nobody disappoint me!" Wario joked. I clapped the man on the shoulder with a grin before the rest of us turned and descended the stairs.
