We removed her armour suit between us and laid her on the floor, Pit gawking as he usually did. Admittedly it was a lot less menacing to wait for a woman in a blue skin-tight suit to regain consciousness than a robot. Her eyes fluttered open and, half dazed, she sat up and rubbed her eye. Once she looked up and saw us all crowded around her and I could see she was annoyed. She began,
"I'd have my bounty and be gone by now if you dweebs hadn't-"
"hadn't saved you from freezing to death? I think you may be a little mistaken I'm afraid!" cut off by Wario's guffawing.
"Listen, whoever wanted you to get Articuno must clearly be a coward with very little power. If we all turn up and show them down I'm sure we can get you the other half of your money. Would you care to tell us who you work for?" I said.
"I've told you before," she protested "the way I work means I never give out my client's name. Until I have my money of course, then it becomes part of my reputation. Besides, there's a little extra issue because of princey boy over here" she pointed towards Owain and he looked shocked to have been genuinely recognised as a prince.
"surely it's nobody from Yilisse? It's such a peaceful and happy land! There's no corruption there, is there?" Pit quizzed Owain.
"no," he said with a new expression on his face "but bordering Yilisse there is a land that has been recreated from when my uncle was still the exalt. Plegia II has been building an army and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see its leader taking part in some shady dealings." Owain covered his eyes once he knew who we were to deal with.
"His name is Gangrel, and he's no fool. When he feels threatened he's a coward, but at all other times he's level headed and dangerous to a small band as you guys. It'd take an army to wipe him out." Samus added.
"well look who's changed their tune! You might even call that help, Samus. And you know what else? What I'm feeling might just be gratitude!" I said to her.
"that's a big sword. I wonder if you're compensating for something." Samus chuckled.
"I hate to ruin your little flirting session here, but I think it's about time we move out of here and head for Plegia II, don't you guys?" Wario said, receiving dirty looks from both me and Samus.
