Yilisse wasn't all that far from Midgar. I remembered going there once to visit as a child, and from that I remembered how beautiful of a place it was. Pit led me into a forest while rambling on about how this was "such a significant place" to the legend we were chasing after clues about and how many "key events and occurrences" took place here. We reached an opening in the trees with a stone in the floor. An engraved sentence read "The Master Sword".
"This, Cloud, is the resting place of the Master sword. When there is somebody worthy enough and in possession of a particular item called the Triforce of Bravery... I think... They can pull the master sword from this stone. This person can pass on the sword to their kin, and so on until there is no longer an heir to weild it. Then, and only then, shall it return to this very stone." Pit said. This was actually quite a momentus occasion for me as I'd always seen King Link as an idol, and now seeing the point where he had gained his power gave me a similar feeling to what he may have had. A small space off to the left through some trees there was another little gap.
"that must be where Robin the Saviour appeared at the beginning. Some call it his birthplace, and they say that if you lay down your sword in the place it will gain his heroics to be wielded." I said to Pit.
I shuffled over and gently put down my buster sword, and a heavenly light appeared to shine off of it. I picked it up and I was surprised to see that it felt light in my hand, like a butcher's knife. I took a swing at a nearby tree and it sliced through it as if it were liquid. I spun quickly in a circle and cleared all of the trees around me, like King Link was said to do.
"The hero's spin. Only a skilled warrior can pull off one of those. I'm starting to feel sorry for that League Army!" Pit chuckled to himself.
"STOP RIGHT THERE! BY AUTHORITY OF OUR GREAT KING ROBIN THE SAVIOUR, WE COMMAND YOU TO COME WITH US TO YILISSE AND FACE PUNISHMENT FOR THIS ETROCITY!" shouted an armed knight aboard a horse. We were surrounded and Pit and I dropped our weapons and put our hands up. This couldn't be good.
