It was a long morning for everyone. Nina kept looking at the clock in the classroom. Miss Andrews noticed her disappearance from the class.

Miss Andrews: Nina Martin, is there anything you need to do?

Nina didn’t even realize Miss Andrews was talking to her, until the 4th time she yelled at her.

Nina: I’m sorry, miss.

Miss Andrews: I’ll speak to you after class, Nina.

Nina sighed to herself. All she wanted was the class to be over already so she could go to the library, not stay longer there. When the class was finished, Nina told the gang to go to the library and start with the researching, she’d meet them when she finished there.

Miss Andrews: Look, Nina, I know Fabian’s disappearance still concerns you and the rest of your friends, but you need to focus on your studies or you’ll fail the year.

Nina: Sorry miss, I’m trying my best to focus, but I just can’t. Not right now.

Miss Andrews: And why’s that?

Nina: I think we’re closer to find Fabian, miss.

Miss Andrews looked at her. “Poor little thing”, she thought, “still hoping to see her love of life someday”. “It isn’t impossible”, she also thought, “but so much time has gone by and no clue of him at all”.

Miss Andrews: You keep on trying, Nina. But don’t have too much hopes, you might end up hurt.

Nina: Thank you, I guess.

Nina left the room, walking as fast as she could to the library. The words ‘Don’t have too much hopes, you might end up hurt’ kept coming out loud inside her head. She knew she’d end up hurt, but not because of the reasons Miss Andrews thought about. She knew once she had find Fabian, it’d be a hard battle against Senkhara. She knew she was watching them, every movement they did, and hearing everything they said. When reaching the library, everyone was looking up for last names and thinking about the possibilities of them.

Eddie: What about ‘Wortingham’?

Patricia: Too royal.

Alfie: ‘Waffles’?

Amber: That’s food Alfie, not a last name.

Alfie: Sorry, too hungry.

Eddie: We’ve looked over 300 last names, Nina. None of them seem to match.

Nina: One must be it, and you’ve taken it for granted. I’m sure.

Patricia: Which one then?

Nina: I’ll have to check myself.

After going through the 300 last names again, Nina understood what they said before. None of them seemed to match Fabian’s name, or any possible name. Tired, they went back to the house where they thought would continue with it after dinner.

They sat down when reaching home, waiting for the food to be brought in. They heard Victor yelling on the hallway, and listened carefully to it.

Victor: You’re not allowed to bring ‘guests’ on the week, Miss Whales.

Emily: We weren’t even in the house, just for a few minutes.

Victor: Is still one of the rules, and I’m expecting that it won’t happen again. Now go eat.

Emily went inside the dining room, and sat down. Nina heard carefully the conversation and looked at Emily.

Nina: Your last name is Whales?
