You aren't born with a manual attached to you
So, when you do something wrong, or right, a parent just has to know what to do
But as you grow up, your own choices you make
Some of them, might be a mistake
But still, you grow with the knowledge you gained from it
And you don't stop growing internally, bit by bit

Without the manual, it is hard to know what to do with you
But yet your parents know what to do
It is a skill and also something to master
But it isn't something that can be learned faster
It's something that needs time and patience
And the end result will be radiant

So, even without a manual, a parent still can learn
It's a practice that we, as women, all yearn
So, get ready to be born, dear one
Even without a manual, the practice will be somewhat fun
Then you'll grow up and there won't be a need for manuals of any kind
Because we, as mothers, have had the practice we need and now we know you have your own mind

But just remember, dear one, that one day you'll have your own
And one day, in the middle of the night, you'll moan and groan
Because your little one has woken you up
And your little one is your own pup
Not a dog, but still has a strong "bark" and might have a strong bite
But don't give up the fight

This little one of yours will grow up and you'll miss these years
Even with all the tears
So, even without a manual attached, you'll still be able to learn on your own what your own kid needs
Just like your mother, you'll teach this kid to read
And not the manual that came with you
But the "manual" called books and you'll know what else to do

You will teach your kid the world and your kid will teach the world to you
So, be careful how you teach it, because what your kid sees is what you see too
And sometimes what you don't see, your kid will
And you'll learn the language of love as you witness your kid growing older and being able to climb up any hill
So, even without a manual attached to your baby, you'll learn a lot
Because this baby, and many more babies, will hit you in your soft spot
