You can't trust a scale
Because, your actual weight, from it, pales
It pales in comparison to your actual weight
And it can easily frustrateWhen you look at a scale and see the amount you weigh
It doesn't, for you, bring a happy day
Unless you lost, or maybe gained, some pounds on it
You feel like this is not a good fitI must tell you something:
The weight might ring true to you, but it's only a ring
It doesn't mean it's actually true
Because weight doesn't really matter when it comes to youMy mother says that when you go up to heaven, God won't ask you how much you weigh
And even if you weigh too much, he won't make you go to hell anyway
So, why should our weight matter?
Just because it makes us feel fatter? That's not a benefit at all
So, why, on a scale, stand tall?
Why do that when the scale makes you feel small inside?
Because you think the scale will show you something that will make you feel full of pride?
