An umbrella named anger

There's an umbrella named anger that protects us from all things
But, underneath it all, is where the emotions behind anger are hidden from our being
We might be angry, but there's an underlying emotion there too
We might just be angry, that is true

So, when you go outside and it's pouring rain
That's when the rain hits the angry umbrella, but you just might feel plain
Underneath the umbrella is where all the emotions take place
The ones we don't really want to show on our face

But when you really want to get emotional, take away the umbrella and let the emotions you hide behind anger out
Even if it's really hard, just give a tiny shout
Or, if you're in the mood to be nice
Don't scream or there will be a price

Just take away the umbrella and get a little wet
Even if it's hard and you're not there yet
Take away the umbrella and tell people how you really feel
Because, feelings, are a really big deal
