Chapter 5: Saw the Whole Thing

ADRIEN'S POV

I followed them as Chat Noir throughout the whole dinner. Hopefully no one back at home bothered to come to my room. I saw Marinette have such a great time, and she looks beautiful. Why did Nathaniel get to enjoy all that? That should've been me. I can feel my heart twist. Time to go to my purrincess. I want to ask her about everything, but I can't make it seem too obvious. I knocked on the door of the rooftop balcony.

"Chat Noir! What are you doing here?" Mari said as she opened the door for me.

"I just wanted to visit my purrincess," I replied.

"Oh, hurry up and come inside kitty. It's cold out here." I walk into her familiar room.

"Kitty, I can't stay up late like we did yesterday. I was about to be late to school today. I mean luckily Nathaniel and I made it."

"Sorry. But, who is this Nathaniel you speak of purrincess?"

"He is a classmate I know. Today, he brought me to such a wonderful restaurant. It was amazing!" Marinette said with her eyes looking as if they were glowing.

"Do... do you like him?" I asked. I hope it's not too soon to ask, but I'm really curious.

"Yeah. I like him." My heart stopped beating... I feel as if my heart just disappeared. I feel like crying and yelling. Marinette continued, "He is such a great friend. He almost seems like a brother." Immediately, I felt my heart beat once again. I feel extremely relieved. "Anyway, Chat, can you help me with the dress. My kwa-- mom helped me with the zipper, but my parents left," Marinette said.

"O-ok" my face heated up when she turned around and moved her hair. I unzipped her dress.

"Make sure your facing away! I need to get dressed."

I quickly covered my eyes. My heart was telling me to take a peak while my mind was telling me to not give in to peaking.

"Okay, I'm done."

"Well that was fast my princess"

-Growl rumble growl(stomach noises)-

"So this stray kitten seems to be looking for food I see," Marinette laughed. I blushed out of embarrassment. "Wait right here kitty. I'll get you some leftovers I have from the restaurant I went to.

She quickly got the food and brought it up. "You can use my desk to eat, just don't make a mess"

"Thank you, my princess"

<Marinette yawns>

"I'm going to go brush my teeth and wash my face. You can take your time to finish eating." Marinette then goes downstairs to the bathroom. This food is actually pretty good, especially knowing that Nathaniel is friend-zoned... I know it's bad to think that, yet it gives me comfort. I feel a bit bad for Nathaniel, he really does like her... Marinette comes in the room and goes on her bed lying down.

"I'm going to stay awake until you finish eating to make sure you don't choke Chaton." I couldn't help but laugh. I finished eating and turned around to see Marinette fast asleep. She didn't cover herself. She can get sick if she's not under the covers. I covered her with her blankets. I guess I better go. I leaned down to kiss her forehead. "Goodnight princess," I whispered.

<Adrien is back in his room...>

My feelings are so mixed up right now. I love Marinette. She is sweet, cute, courageous-- especially against Chloe--, friendly, caring and much more. But I also love my Lady. She is sassy, courageous, beautiful, and much more.

"Come on kid it's time for you to sleep. You have a big day tomorrow, but before you go to sleep, give me my Camembert," my kwami Plagg told me. I give him his cheese, turn off the lights, and go into bed. Marinette and Ladybug are both wonderful, but I can't have both of them. Which one do I choose?
