ADRIEN'S POV

"You guys are really cool, but honestly, I have to go. It's getting quite late. Don't want my...parents worrying for me," Marin told Plagg and me.

"Oh, of course. We have to go back too. We can't be late!" I exclaimed. Hmm, maybe he's going to the ball as well, but I don't know his last name, so I don't know anything about his social status.

"Yes, we will be on our way then," Plagg said.

"Umm, if you guys don't mind, can I walk with you until I feel like the streets are familiar. I have never been here before so I'm at loss of directions," Marin told us.

"Of course! That was so inconsiderate of me just about to leave you here. Let's go," I said. I let out a hand to help him up. Wait, he's a guy, why am I doing this? For some reason, once Marin took off the cloak, I felt as if he looked more feminine. He... got my heart beating. But, what will my parents think of this? Maybe it's just hormones... but if this is love, I will fight for it. I felt a hand reach out to mine.

"Thanks. You didn't really have to help me out. Your're So funny," Marin chuckled.

So...cute. We start walking back.

"Remember, we can't walk too near your house in case this guy follows," Plagg whispered to me.

I nodded. Too bad I can't invite him in.

"Okay, we can go our separate ways here. I know where my home is now. Thanks for today. I didn't think I would make two great friends for a day," Marin thanked us. He's saying it as if he won't see us again.

"Hey, this isn't our last time seeing each other. Let's always try to meet at the library the same time we did today. We can wait for each other for at least an hour while reading," I told Marin.

"Yeah, Adrien usually gets out often with me, so we can all meet up again," Plagg added.

"That sounds like a great plan. Hopefully I'll see you soon then. Keep in mind, I'm not out often, but I'll try." Marin said with a sad smile.

He started walking away and waved bye to us.

"I really hope he's doing okay at home, Plagg," I said.

"I hope so too, Adrien. But, we really should get going. You get to meet with Lady Dupan Cheng. Maybe you can at least help her. Her only friend is Tikki. I can't wait to meet her! My wife tells me so many nice things about her," Plagg told me.

"Alright, let's go. I can't wait to meet this mysterious girl."

MARINETTE'S POV

Thank goodness I know my way from here. I didn't want to be a bother for them. Afterall, they don't know who I am, and they think I don't know who they truly are. I make it to my mansion to see that the guests are already lined up, and the knights are already set at the entrances. Good thing I know this place like the back of my hand. I know every nook and cranny there is to this place. I even have a secret corridor behind a painting in my room. I go behind the mansion and into the secret tunnels finding the path leading to my sneaking spot. Now to just move this frame quietly. Usually, no one ever barges in room, except for Tikki. She's the only one I allow in my room. I move the frame carefully and Place it down to see a frustrated Tikki sitting on a chair facing me.

"You're late! And I was worried sick about you! If you came any later, I would have had to tell your parents!" Tikki exclaimed.

"I'm sorry for worrying you Tikki! I won't do that again. Anyway, I really have to take a quick shower to get ready for 'my' ball," I said sarcastically.
