Chapter 37 Getting Out

ADRIEN'S POV

I can't beleive I forgot Plagg at the library! I mean, at least I left him doing his favorite thing: reading. I was about to go to the library when I see a little black creature in the alley next to the library. It looks like a kitten... but it's floating around? What harm can this little creature do? I walk up to the little black creature.

"Hey, little guy. What are you?" I asked it.

"Thank goodness it's you Adrien! I don't know what happened, but I turned into this thing. It feels right, but I don't know what happened to my actual body," it tells me.

"How do you know me?" I asked i surprise.

"It's me! Plagg!" he exclaimed. "I mean, how would you know it's me in this form. Sorry for yelling," Plagg tells me.

"It's okay... But, how am I going to explain this to Marinette?"

"Maybe she will help us. After all, you guys seem pretty close. For now, I'll stay in your pocket. We should get back to your lady. She's waiting for you," he tells me.

"Thanks, Plagg. I promise we will find out what's going on," I assure Plagg.

I hastily make my way back to the mansion. From a distance, I see Marinette exiting my mansion.

"Marinette! Where are you going?" I asked her as I was approaching her.

"Oh, thank goodness. I was about to go look for you. I have to tell you something right now. But, we have to go somewhere private," Marinette tells me.

"Alright. We can talk in the room next to my room. The only way to enter it is through my room and it's soundproof," I tell her.

She nodded in response. We make our way up the stairs, into my room, and finally into my secret room.

"Okay, no one will hear us from here. So, what do you need to tell me?'

"Okay... FIrst, I need to be honest with you... So,... I'm actually Marin..."

"W-what?! So you are the strong, cool guy I met?!"

"Y-yeah. I'm sorry I wasn't honest from the start. I just didn't want you to think badly of me. And, I wasn't sure you would act the same way in my true gender... If you don't want to be with me, I understand, but I have to tell you something else too. It may make me sound crazy, but I really hope you understand."

"I'm glad you were actually Marin. To be honest, even as a guy, you got my heart racing. I understand, and I still Ike you. But what else did you want to tell me?" I asked while assuring her that I would like to stay with her by holding her hands.

"Thank you, Adrien... So, um, you know how my best friend is my maid, and her name is Tikki, right?"

"Y-yes," I answered. Did her friend turn into a creature too?

"Well, she turned into a creature that are called kwamis. And Iknow this because while I was passed out, I had a vision. At first, I thought it was just a dream until Tikki came to me," she tells me with a pleading look of 'pleas believe me'.

"I believe you beca—," I was about to explain that Plagg also turned into a creature.

"Wait. There's something else... Apparently, we are in an alternate reality, so the family we have here is not our true family. Also, we are both actually superheros that fell in love in our true reality... Tikki, you can come out of my pocket now."

"H-hello, sir Adrien. What a way to greet you in this form," Tikki chuckled.

"Wait, so our family here really isn't our family? Also, Plagg, you can come out of my pocket too."
