ADRIEN'S POV
"A-are y-you sure? What if I don't make you happy for long? W-what if you g-get bored with me?"
How can she say these things about herself! I would beat up anyone who would make her feel this way, but I can't beat her up if she thinks of herself this way.
I let go of Mari's hands and put my hands on her face to lift it up, "Marinette, I am serious about you. I will not play with your feelings. Also, if it ends up with me being the one to not make you happy or bore you, you can tell me. We still have time to figure out more things about each other. In time, I will pop this question again with a real ring. For now, I want to give you this." I let go of Mari's face, reach into my pocket, and take out a promise ring that I had secretly bought. Since I bought it as Chat Noir, I was given this ring at such a lower price. I know that's bad, but I don't make that much money yet. I had bought this ring thinking that I would put it on Ladybug's finger, but now that I know Ladybug is Marinette, I get to put it on her finger.
"W-when did you even have the time to get this?!" Mari exclaimed.
"I just knew that I would want to spend the rest of my life with you," I told honestly to Marinette.
I finally put the ring on her finger. "It's a perfect fit, for a purrfect lady," I told her.
"T-thank you, Adrien. I never thought that this day would come. NOr did I think it would come this early," she giggled.
"Well, don't feel rushed! I don't want to make you feel pressured."
"I'm definitely not feeling any pressure. Just happiness."
Marinette swiftly tiptoed to kiss me. I then whisked her into my arms, and we kissed passionately. Luckily, this street is not really a busy street. It feels like it's just the two of us in a bubble that no one can pop.
*cough cough* "Tha's enough! We don't want to be here if anything more happens," I heard Plagg say.
"Oh Plagg, they wouldn't go that far... I don't think," I heard Mari's kwami say.
We immediately let go of each other, both of us out of breath.
"I-I guess I overdid it," I said.
"Yeah, but I went along with it, so we both overdid it," Mari added.
We looked at each other and laughed. All of a sudden, the lights of Paris turned on.
"Wow, it's already getting dark. Let's not worry your parents," I said.
"Oh no! I didn't get to tell them that I would be home later than usual! Let me just call them real quick," she said.
"O-okay. Take your time," I responded. Hopefully, her parents won't think bad of me by keeping her away from home.
MARINETTE'S POV
I get out my phone to call my mom.
Mom: Hi, Marinette. How is your date going? You shouldn't be calling me when that nice boy asked you out on a date.
Mari: W-what?
Mom: Don'tworryy. Bridgette told me that you would be out on a date with that wonderful boy named Adrien. Just tell him to bring you back home soon. It's getting quite dark.
Mari: O-okay. We are actually headed back right now. Do you think it's fine that he comes over for dinner? We went out to the park, but we haven't eaten yet.
Mom: Of course! Bring him over. The food is almost ready.
Mari: Thanks, mom. We'll be there soon. Bye!
