Chapter 29: New Student- Mari's Cousin

ADRIEN'S POV

"Kid wake up please. We gotta go. The girls are still asleep, so now's our chance to get back to your house. And, you need to get ready for school," I heard Plagg whispering to me as he patted me on the head. 

Wait... I'm not home? What happened? Then, I remember last night. Almost forgot I met Mari's cousin yesterday. I have to make a good impression today for when she meets me at school. 

"Thanks, Plagg. Let's make our way back home. Here's your Camembert. It's a little but I'll give you more when we're home," I whispered back to Plagg. It's really early. Marinette, her parents, and Bridgette are still asleep, so I better be quiet while I'm in the restroom. I got into to the restroom and saw a note. Before reading it, I got the tooth brush Marinette has left for me to use. I started brushing my teeth and read the note.  Marinette reused a note that she has used before, but I think she added something: The spare tooth brush is in the bottom drawer beneath the sink. And, if you want, you can use my brush to fix up ur bed hair. P.S. I love you, and see you at school. 

I dropped my toothbrush in the sink. I could feel my face completely heated up. I just imagined her telling me that she loves me... She's trying to give me a heart attack this early in the morning.  I finish off brushing my teeth and rinse my face. I hear a little knock on the door and a whisper, "Hey, are you ready yet? It's about time that we go." 

"Okay, Plagg. Come in, so I can transform in here just in case they wake up.

I let Plagg come in, and I transform. "Now to get back home. But first..." I go to Marinette. Luckily, she's on the edge of her bed, and Bridgette is faced towards the wall. 

"See you soon, my purrincess," I whispered into her ear and kissed her forehead. I think I saw her smile a bit. Then, she whispered back, "I'll see you soon, Kitty." 

I got heated once again. Is she awake? Or, did she say that back in her sleep? Much confusion. I make my way back home just in time to slip in bed to make it look like I was here the whole time. 

"Oh, he's been here this whole time? I don't remember. I better get him up I guesss," I heard Nathalie say to herself. She continued, " Adrien, it's time to get up. You have an early photo shoot today."

I pretended that I was barely waking up. "Hmm? Okay. Thank you Nathalie."

I hear her walk out. Okay. Time to take a shower and get ready. Maybe... I'll put on the new cologne. Will Marinette like this one? I really hope so. Felix must be at his photo shoot. I'll just text him real quick.

Adrien: Hey, if I finish my photo shoot later, you can already head to school. I'll just meet you there. 

Felix: Hey! When did you get home? I was worried, but no one else noticed. I wasn't sure whether to say anything or not. 

Adrien: Don't worry, I'm fine. I was just with Nino. 

I crossed my fingers hoping he didn't text Nino.

Felix: Oh man, I should have texted Nino. I guess I was a bit too worried that I wasn't thinking logically. Anyway, they're calling me for the photo shoot. My fifteen minutes break are over. :( I'll see you soon!

Adrien: Yeah, see you at school. 

Yush. I'm in the safe zone. Now, to get ready.

MARINETTE'S POV

I wake up to the sound of my alarm. Ugh. Five more minutes... I hit the snooze button and feel a hand on me.

"Hey, you sleepy head. Let's get ready for school!" I heard Bridgette say to me. I almost forgot she slept over. I thought Chat Noir's hand was on me. I was about to snuggle against her. Phew, that was a close one.
