Chapter 6: The New Student

ADRIEN'S POV

"Adrien it's time to get up for your morning photo shoot, also your father has something essential to tell you, so after you are dressed and ready, go to your father," I heard Natalie say as she left my room. Ugh. I hate morning photo shoots. I have to get up twice as early than for school. I wonder what my dad has to tell me. Usually he just has Natalie tell me news. I better hurry. I get up and get ready within minutes. I am used to this routine, but I can't help it to feel tired. Finally, I go to my dad's office.

"Good morning father," I said.

"Good morning Adrien. I must inform you that your cousin Felix is coming over and will be attending your school. Today, he will be arriving to school in a different limo since his plane is barely landing. Make sure to help him if he needs any. That is all," my father told me. My cousin Felix is barely arriving and has to go straight to school! That sucks, but I wonder how long he is staying. It's been a while since I have seen him. He had to move away because his parents got a job somewhere in the U.S. Before he left, he was like a big brother to me. I heard that he has a talented voice that he is a singer as well as a model like me. I wonder how much he has changed... Oh well, I'll see him at school.

<Time skip to school...>

MARINETTE'S POV

I cannot be late again. My teacher is going to be mad with me. I run up the stairs of the school and spot a guy at the top of the steps. He has the same hair and eye color as Adrien, but he looks much more formally dressed. He has some paper in his hand and is looking at it with a confused look on his face. He is probably a new student. I stopped running and walked up to him.

"Umm hello... are you lost??" I asked.

"I am not lost!...I will find my way... ," the guy harshly replied. He must be used to finding put things his own way. I don't want him too late on his first day to school...

"My name's Marinette. May I see your paper if it's your schedule?"

"...My name is Felix..." the guy said hesitantly and gave me his schedule. Hmmm... that name sound familiar. I just can't seem to put a finger on why it sounds familiar...

"We have the same class together. We can walk there together. Actually, we better hurry! We only have two minutes before the rings!" I told Felix.

Felix started walking. Hmm... He seems to be in no rush, and I don't want to run without him. So, I walk with him leading the way.

FELIX'S POV

Hmm... The girl wasn't surprised and didn't fangirl over me like other girls would...and she is quite interesting. There was no way I was going to start running, and I'm glad she got the message. Then we both heard the bell ring.

"Ugh, well I'm late... again. Well, anyway, maybe I can give you a tour of the school if you need one unless you want a tour from someone else. I don't really mind. By the way, we are almost there. The classroom is straight ahead," the girl said. What did she say her name was again... I know it started with an M...

"Thank you... " I said.

"No problem," the girl said kindly.

We then enter the classroom.

"Why are you late again, Marinette?!" the teacher yelled at the girl. So that's her name... Marinette...

"I am so sorry! I won't be late again!"

"Umm, hello. I am the new student. She was helping me find the classroom because I got lost. Please excuse her," I said politely.

"Oh, that's right. Class, we have a new student. Marinette, you may go to your seat," the teacher said. Marinette passed by me mouthing the words 'thank you'.

"Oh my god! Is that you Felix Agreste!" I heard an annoying voice that sounded familiar. Oh no, it's Chloe. Then, the other girls started fangirling remembering my name except for Marinette. Chloe, like Adrien, knew me during some of our childhood years, and she has been keeping track of me on the social media. Besides her, I turn around to face Adrien and just did a slight wave at him.

ADRIEN'S POV

Oh no, I forgot to wait for him! He must have come late. I should have been the one to lead him to class. I waved back at him, feeling a bit guilty.

"Settle down class! Let him properly introduce himself. Go ahead," the teacher told Felix.

"As most of you all know my name is Felix, Felix Agreste," my cousin said. All the girls except Marinette started to fangirl once again.

"Do you not know who Felix is, Marinette," I heard Alya whisper to Marinette.

"Well... I don't fully remember... but he does sound familiar," I heard Marinette whisper back to Alya.

"Girl, he is a model and singer! Have you not heard any of his songs! His voice is amazing!" Alya stated to Mari.

"I guess I'll give his music a try. But, why are all the girls making such a fuss? He must hate it," Mari said.

"No way, girl, he probably loves it. Almost any boy would wish to get that much attention from the girls," Alya responded back.

"Class please settle down!" The teacher yelled bringing back everyone's attention. "Felix, you may sit in an empty seat," the teacher told Felix. There were two empty seats: one behind Marinette and the other behind Nathaniel. Felix chose the one behind Marinette. After class, I better talk with him. I don't want my dad to know that I have forgotten to help him.
