Chapter 14: Thoughts

ADRIEN'S POV

"Hey Plagg, I know it's late, but can I turn into Chat Noir? I want to see my purrincess one more time."

"I thought you finally decided to devote your love to Ladybug. Even if you were Chat Noir I can hear all of your conversations."

"Mari is like my best friend when I'm Chat Noir, and I don't think it'll be weird.."

"Okay, if you say so, kid. Just give me my Camembert cheese"

After Plagg finished eating I transformed," Claws out!"

I go on to the balcony finding Mari's door open. Does she not know how unsafe that is?! Someone can just break in...like I am, but I'm not dangerous. I sneak into her room only to see Mari twisting and turning on her bed. I locked her door as I went to sit on her bed. I patted her shoulder.

"Mari, are you still awake?" I whispered.

"She immediately opened her eyes. " Yeah, I can't sleep...but how did you get in here??"

I whispered angrily, "You didn't close or lock the door."

"Oh...so that's what I forgot..."

"Do you mind if this stray cat sleeps over? I just don't feel like going home, and I'm pretty sure no one noticed that I'm gone."

"Umm sure," she answered.

"Well, I'll sleep on the floor."

"Don't be silly, Kitty. You can sleep with me on my bed. You're my friend after all and you have always been there for me. Just make sure to keep your paws to yourself."

"Thanks, purrincess." I then went under the covers with her. The bed is not that big, but it fits both of us. I was facing the back of Mari's head. Her beautiful hair was loose and spread across the pillow. She then started to turn. And then, we were face to face.

"Chat..."

"Y-yes purrincess?"

"I just wanted to let you know that no matter what, I will always be there for you.."

"And I will always be there for you Purrincess."

"Oh and Chat... let's never ruin our friendship...I never want to lose our friendship..."

"Don't worry purrincess...I promise," out of instinct I put my arm around her to hug her...oh no I hope this isn't awkward, "S-sorry purrincess I did it out of instinct," I said as I was about to let go.

"It's ok Chat...can we actually just stay like this...I just need a hug, and I feel safer..." she then also put her arm around me.

"S-sure. I-I don't mind." We then remained in that position. I hope she doesn't hear my fast heartbeat...

MARINETTE'S POV

I can't believe I just told Chat Noir to continue holding me in his arms. I really do like Chat Noir, but I fell for Adrien.... I wish they were the same person! Anyway, I don't even know who is behind that black mask. What if Chat is way older than me or way younger? Looks may be deceiving. I know for sure he's single since he mainly spends time with me as Ladybug and my civilian for. Now that I think about it even more... Chat Noir likes all of me... he likes me as Ladybug and my civilian form... and I know Adrien is a fan of Ladybug but does he even have a crush on me as my superhero form the way I like him... is it only a one-sided crush with Adrien? I think it's safe to say that out of all the guys I have hung out with... Chat Noir has been with me the most... I think... I like him...

Chat Noir's arms are so comforting. I wonder... if... he'll be here... in the morning...
