Chapter 40 Girlfriend

*Beep Beep Beep

MARINETTE'S POV

"Ugh, Tikki, can you turn off the alarm. I wanna sleep for a bit longer," I mumble in hopes of Tikki hearing. What's on my waist? It's quite heavy. Omg! I forgot that Adrien came to sleep over. Oh, and I forgot I had made sure my alarm was early so that I would have enough time to make myself presentable in front of Mr. Agreste.

"Psst. Adrien, I need to get ready. Please let me go," I whisper to him.

"MMMmmm, nope. Never..." Adrien whispers back in his sleepy state.

"Now is not the time to be all cute. Oh, I know what to do!" I tickle his face with kisses. I could feel him purring. He then rolls over to pin me down on my bed.

"Your kisses have charged me up," Adrien said seductively.

"A-Adrien... I have to g-get ready," I say shyly. I never thought there would be a day when Adrien Agreste would be pinning me down on my very own bed.

"O-oh. Oops. Sorry. Of course," Adrien responds. Did he do this action unconsciously? This actually boosts my confidence. I never really thought of myself as attractive... Adrien lays back down on my bed. His face is completely red. "I'll be waiting for you, purrincess," Adrien says while facing away.

"Okay. I'll be as quick as possible," I tell him.

Adrien said that he would introduce me as his girlfriend to his dad, but will it work out? Yes, I will make myself presentable and all, but what if this messes up with Adrien's popularity? After all, most of his fans are female. Hopefully, nothing goes wrong. Enough worrying about that for now. What should I wear? I shouldn't go to formal nor too casual. I can wear one of my new designs. I made a Chat Noir style. It's a black skirt with green paws at the end of the skirt. The shirt is white with dark green stripes that have slightly visible paws. Then, I have a thin black cardigan with a green kitten paw on the front-left side. I made this design as I was falling for Chat Noir. Hopefully, Adrien likes it. I head to the bathroom to quickly change and fix my hair. I guess I could have my hair down today.

"Marinette! Time to wake up!" I hear my mom say from below. Usually, I try to sleep in as long as I can, but I am going to see Adrien's father. I go back to Adrien. He fell asleep again. I don't want to wake him up, but I must. He usually has a hectic schedule because of his father, and he already skipped his photoshoot for sure.

"Psst. Adrien, please wake up. We need to plan what we are going to do," I whisper to him. There was no response. I see him smirk as if he's hoping for me to attack him with my smooches as I did earlier.

"I know you're awake silly kitty. You can't hide that smirk from me," I tell him.

"Darn. My feelings were revealed through my face. Alright, I'm getting up," Adrien answers.

"Okay. So, do you want to eat breakfast here or at your house? I want to get you to your father as soon as possible. He must be worried," I tell Adrien.

"Well, my father almost never allows me to bring friends home...," Adrien responds sadly.

"We can change that today. I'm sure of it. I will be there right with you," I say to comfort him.

"You're right. Let's eat at my place. But, what about your parents?"

"Oh, I didn't think about that," I chuckled nervously.

"What if, I come to your front door and invite you out for breakfast? Would your parents mind?"

"That's a great idea! Let's find out if it works!"
