Chapter 16 Inviting More Friends

MARINETTE'S POV
"Hey, Felix."
"Oh hey, Marinette. You l-look very p-pretty today."
"Oh..thank you... " I answered. I couldn't help but be a bit nervous. Then, I remembered the tickets.
"Are you doing anything this weekend? Specifically tomorrow?" I asked Felix.
"This weekend I am actually free from those photo shoots or any singing albums," Felix said with relief. I couldn't help but laugh at how similar an answer it was to what Adrien answered earlier.
"Why are you laughing," Felix asked flustered.
"It's just that you and Adrien are truly alike," I said, "Anyways, the play is in honor of Ladybug and Chat Noir so maybe, you will be more informed about them. Also, Adrien, Nino, and Alya are coming along. I just need one more person to invite..."
"Okay. What time is it at?" Felix asked.
"Oh, it's around night. You have my number right?"
"I think so," Felix said. He handed me his phone, and I put in my number along with my email.
"Okay, then I'll see you later. I said to Felix.

TIMESKIP TO BREAK AT SCHOOL

I headed towards my locker with Alya.
"Class was so boring! I thought I was going to fall asleep, " Alya said.
"Well, we just need to get through four more classes," I said trying to be optimistic.
We then headed out of the locker room and toward the bench we always sit at. I started to sketch designed in my sketchbook. Nino and Adrien then walked toward us.
"Yo," Nino said as he and Adrien walked toward us.
"Hey," Alya and I said at the same time. Since Alya and I sat on the center of the bench, each of the guys sat on the sides of the bench. Nino sat next to Alya which was so adorable, and Adrien sat next to me.
I was mostly sketching and listening to their conversation. I was designing a sweater for the winter since winter is coming up.
"I like that design," Adrien said with his head right over my shoulder. Okay... I do not have a crush on him... as much anymore... but any girl would feel flustered to have any boy over her shoulder or just near her.
"Thanks," I said trying to keep my cool.
I then spotted Nathaniel sitting alone... at lunch, I will definitely make him come tomorrow to the play.

TIMESKIP TO LUNCH

"Hey Alya, I'll meet you outside," I told Alya.
"Mkay girl," she answered and headed out with Nino and Adrien. Nathaniel is usually the last one rushing out of the class. The teacher usually scolds him...
I went up to Nathaniel and helped him pack his stuff.
"Oh... umm thanks Marinette..." Nathaniel said.
"No problem," I smiled. We made our way out of the classroom.
"Hey, Nathaniel, I was wondering if you would like to come to a play tomorrow night. I have extra tickets and wanted you to come with us. I invited Nino, Alya, Adrien and Felix. The play is in honor of Chat Noir and Ladybug."
"R-really?! I-I-I would l-love to," Nathaniel answered.
"Okay, then I'll see you tomorrow right?"
"Y-yes, d-d-definitely."
"Okay, then I'll see you tomorrow or later!"
"Okay... bye," Nathaniel said and we went our separate ways since he was heading towards his locker.
I went towards Alya. We ate lunch together and Felix came to us.
"Hey, is it okay if I hang out with you guys... I don't really have anyone else to hang with..." Felix asked nervously.
"Yeah, of course, Felix, you don't even have to ask," I said and patted the empty spot next to me on the bench signaling him to sit next to me.
Adrien and Nino were also coming to us.

ADRIEN'S POV
I saw Mari pat the empty spot next to her for Felix to sit there. She just looked so kawaii, but I felt angry. I don't want that cute face to be towards some other guy that's not me. Why can't I just keep my heart towards Ladybug?! Ugh! Just when I thought I chose who my heart belongs to, I am back to square one again. I ended up standing along with Nino. I guess Nino felt bad that I was unable to sit. We were with Mari and Alya... and Felix for lunch. What is with me and being jealous. Mari had a piece of food on her face, but before I could mention it, Felix told her.
"Hey, um Marinette you have something on your face," Felix told her.
"Oh, where," Mari said flustered trying to look for it using her hand.
Felix reached out his hand towards her face and got it off. "T-thank y-y-you," Mari said to Felix nervously. Ugh, this twinge in my heart...

TIMESKIP TO AFTER SCHOOL

Felix and I went home together in the limo. I am so glad today is the final day for photo shoots.
"I am so glad today is the final day for photo shoots," Felix said. I just thought that and I couldn't help but laugh.
"I was literally just thinking that right now," I said and we both just laughed. Today, the limo driver was Felix's employee, and they seemed to get along. We arrived back "home". It's weird that there hasn't been an Akuma attack yet.

ADRIEN'S POV
I want to see Ladybug, yet I don't want a person to get akumatized. I just need to somehow get Marinette out of my heart. When Felix and I got home, we just went to our separate rooms. Today is Friday, and I feel so bored. Maybe I'll call Nino and we can make some plans for today. I was about to call Nino until I heard a knock on my door.
"Come in!" Felix came in.
"Hey, I hope you're not busy. I just got kind of bored in my room..." Felix said standing at the door.
"You can come in. I was just thinking the same thing. I'm calling Nino to see if he's free tonight and we can make plans. Hey, all three of us can go somewhere," I told Felix.
"Thanks!"
"No problem." I couldn't help but think of how much Felix actually changed. He used to be so serious and kept to himself. Usually, he would just write new lyrics and prepare for anything else he needed to prepare for.
"Hey, do you think Marinette will pass by us?" Felix disturbed my thoughts.
"Oh well, usually we bump into our classmates so maybe we will pass by her... umm why do you ask? ...Do you have a crush on Marinette?" I tried to ask excitedly instead of angrily.
"...I kind of like her. Something about her makes her unique from other girls. Everyone always greets her, and she is so kind and caring. It's as if she puts others before herself... well at least that's what I learned about her from my couple days here," Felix said. He is definitely on point.
"Yeah, I agree with you there Felix. She is also beautiful along with other great qualities..."
"Do you like her too Adrien?" Felix asked.
"Well umm you see... umm I used to like her.. I don't really know because I also like the superhero Ladybug... and I've been having a hard time choosing whom I like most."
"I think Ladybug and Chat Noir are together aren't they?" Felix questioned me.
I blushed. "W-well if you look on the Ladyblog by Alya, she puts everything that happens with Ladybug, and she is still single... Chat Noir and her are not together..."
"Then you definitely have a shot with her," Felix said," unless your feelings are stronger for Marinette than for Ladybug..." There was an awkward silence.
"Well, I'll get going now. You can tell me about today's plan later... just call me. I'll be in my room," Felix then waved goodbye and left my room.
"Well that was definitely awkward between you two," Plagg said as soon as Felix left.
I laid down on my bed. "Ugh, what do I do with these feelings!" I said aloud. "I better call Nino.
~Phone Call~
N: Yo! Wassup bro!
A: nothing much. I'm just in my room. Do you wanna make some plans?
N: Oh yeah sure. Plus we might pass by Alya... I-I-I mean we might pass by... oh I give up
A (laughing uncontrollably): Don't worry bro it's no secret that you like Alya. Maybe I'll even invite her.
N: N-No it's ok. You should invite Felix since he is getting used to living in France. Why don't we meet at the park?"
A: Okay, then we will meet at the park. And I'm inviting Alya. Laters!
I hung up quickly before he could go against my word. I'll just invite Alya by text. Within seconds later Alya said that she'll go, and she asked if she can bring Marinette. Being the person I am I just texted Alya sure, but in reality, I don't want Marinette to come. Marinette is making it difficult for me to choose Ladybug... and plus I don't want Felix being with her... why can't I just have both Marinette and Ladybug...
In the end, the plans made are to go to the park and have a picnic. Maybe Ladybug will pass by... I kind of wanna see Marinette too. After all, we are just friends...
