Chapter 13: Confessions

ADRIEN'S POV

I had some free time, so I decided to transform into Chat Noir and go to my princess. From afar, as I was arriving, I saw Felix leaving the bakery. What was he doing with MY purrincess? So many guys have been talking to her lately and just thinking about it bothers me. I know now that this feeling is jealousy, but I love Ladybug. Ugh, what am I going to do?! I got to Marinette's rooftop balcony. I knocked on the door. I then see her beautiful eyes and smell her scent... oh god I'm falling for her everytime I see her now...not good...I'm being disloyal to my Lady.

"Hey, Chaton."

"Hello, my purrincess. Someone was leaving your bakery when it's already closed. The person looked suspicious, so you better be careful," I said. I didn't want to say that I saw Felix leave her house or else she would know that I know him, and I wanted to hear her response... yet I feel so anxious. I was looking at her face as it heated up. What happened between them?...

"Oh... don't worry kitty, i-it was just a friend. He found me at the park, and I invited him o-over." Then it hit me, maybe he is one of the guys she has mixed feelings for! I hope not...I mean it's only been about two days... there's no way...

"So, is he one of the guys you like?" I asked, but it didn't sound as calm as I thought it would be.

"Umm...umm... I don't know. He seems more like just a friend... but I'm still thinking about him at times...I don't know... " Ugh, I hate this feeling. Just knowing that she's thinking of another guy gets me triggered.

Without thinking, I walked up to her putting one hand on the wall and the other on her chin pinning her against the wall. "There is no need to think of another guy, purrincess...Only think of me," I then put my forehead against hers.

"Ch-Chat..." she said softly. Our lips were about to touch until I heard her whimper,  P-please d-don't..."

I then realized what I was doing.

"I-I'm sorry my purrincess...I-I didn't mean to be forceful..."

"I thought you liked ...Ladybug...unless it's cause of that problem you have with her... but I thought you loved her..." Marinette said.

"...I don't specifically have a problem with her... It's just...I always tried confessing to Ladybug, but whenever I do, she turns me down... and lately, the more time I spend with you... the more I-I'm developing feelings for you, Marinette...I don't know which one to choose..."

"Chat... I don't know what to say... I...I have been developing feelings for you too... but there are also other guys...I am just confused..." Marinette then started to cry. I didn't want to hurt her or act so forceful. I'm so stupid and inconsiderate. "Oh, I'm sorry, I just needed to let it out. I...I'm just not ready to choose... and I want my first kiss to be special..." She turned a dark shade of red.

"Wait, you mean that no one has dared to kiss those precious lips before?" I accidentally said out of shock.

"Well, anyway, I think you should give Ladybug a chance first since you liked her first...I don't want to get in the way..."

"Marinette...Thank you. You are just the most amazing girl."

"Just go for Ladybug, while I figure out who I will choose."

"Okay... well goodbye my purrincess." I feel better in a way after that confession, yet Mari told me to go for Ladybug...I guess she doesn't like me that much if she let me go so easily... My mind is all cleared up now... I will stick to my love for Ladybug and stay as friends with Marinette.

As I was thinking of all this, I then spotted an Akuma attack.

"I am the Jokester. All of my jokes and puns will be funny to all those who hear it."

What kind of akumatized person is this?

MARINETTE'S POV

I heard an Akuma attack nearby, and I was just about to go to sleep once Chat Noir left...well, I would have actually had a hard time sleeping with all these thoughts going inside my head.

I put on my pigtails just in case Chat somehow realized my identity through my hair. "Tikki, spots on!"

I then arrive to see Chat on the ground... laughing?... I go to Chat.

"Chat? Why are you laughing?"

"Watch out!" he said-- still continuing to laugh.

"I am the Jokester, and you too will laugh at my jokes." Then there were fumes. I blew away the fumes with my yo-yo.

"Oh, I guess that explains why you're laughing uncontrollably, Chat... well I got this cat in the bag," I said jokingly.

"That was actually a pretty good joke. Let me just jot that down..." the jokester said. Is he for real?! Jokes are supposed to come out naturally...and my joke wasn't even funny.

*Time skip to the end of the Akuma attack

"Goodbye, little butterfly!" I said as I finally cleansed the Akuma.

"Pound it!" Chat Noir and I said at the same time. Then, I remembered of the talk I just had with Chat Noir. I should rush away. He doesn't know that I'm Marinette...

"Well, I'll see you next time Chat!" I said quickly before he can say anything. I made it back home and immediately go under my blanket. I definitely can't sleep...well all I can do is rest. I feel like... I forgot to do something......
