Chapter 10: New Feelings

ADRIEN'S POV

I really need to see Marinette... right now it's 6:30 AM. I just finished my 5 o'clock photo shoot and I'm back in my room. Ugh, well my break is coming up soon. Would Marinette be awake by this time? I'll go check on her as Chat Noir.

*knock knock

"Come in," I said. I just finished my photo shoot. Don't tell me they want more. Felix then walks in.

"Hey, Adrien. I heard you just got out of your photo shoot and you haven't eaten breakfast yet," Felix says as he walks in with my breakfast in hand. On cue, my stomach growled. I got embarrassed as Felix laughed.

"T-thanks. I guess I really am hungry." I start devouring my food.

"School is so interesting..." Felix said. I could definitely tell that he was just trying to start a conversation. It's been so long since we've seen each other anyway.

"Yeah. Most of the people are really nice," I said.

"But it's so hard with all the fangirls around," Felix said.

"You'll get used to it," I replied patting him on the back as he sighed.

"Especially Chloe. I wish I was warned that Chloe was attending the same school. She has always been texting me when I was in America, and now that I'm back, she will never stop!"

"Yeah I feel you," I agreed.

"That girl with the dark blue hair is probably the only one who is not an annoying fan or an annoying girl in general. Her name is Marinette right?" For some reason, I felt bothered when he said her name.

"Yeah, she's really nice. She wants to be a designer."

"Oh, I didn't know. Well, I better get going. I have a short photoshoot to do, see ya at school," Felix said as he exits my room. I waved bye. I look over to my alarm clock. It's 6:50 AM.

"Claws out!" I said. Now to go and check on my princess.

Meanwhile...

MARINETTE'S POV

Knock knock.

A knock on the door that goes up to the balcony woke me up, but I'm really comfortable and sleepy, so I don't bother to get up and unlock it.

Knock knock knock knock knock.

The knocking is not stopping.... this is getting annoying.

"Tikki, you have to hide, I think Chat Noir is here..." Tikki nodded and sleepily went to hide.

Knock knock knock

"I'm coming!" I silently tried to yell knowing that my parents are already awake. I opened the balcony door, and Chat Noir then entered.

"Hello my purrincess," he said as he kissed my forehead. That immediately made me awake.

"Hey, kitty. Why you here so early? Was there an Akuma attack this early?" I said worriedly. He usually visits me after an Akuma attack that we, well Ladybug and him have to defeat.

"Don't worry no Akuma attack-- yet at least. I just wanted to check on you," Chat said with such a serious look on his face. He held my hair up and was examining my shoulder... his face is so close to mine. "Your shoulder looks less red, thank goodness. We don't want that pretty shoulder of yours to be scarred." He slowly put my hair down, and we looked at each other eye to eye. I couldn't stop my heart from beating so fast. This is the feeling I get with Adrien... don't tell me I'm falling for Chat Noir.

ADRIEN'S POV

Marinette and I-- in my superhero form of course-- are face to face making straight eye contact. None of us moved. I think I'm starting to like Marinette, but I love Ladybug. Ever since I met Ladybug my heart promised to be for Ladybug alone, yet I can't help but fall for Marinette. I don't know which one of us was leaning in, but I could feel our faces nearing more and more towards each other. I was able to feel Mari's breath against my face. Then, there was a knock on Marinette's door. "Marinette! It's time to get up! You better hurry or you'll be late!"

"I-I guess t-that's my cue kitty cat. I have to go to school. I'm usually almost late, but t-thanks to you I'll be early," Marinette said breaking the silence and distance as she walked towards her closet to get dressed. "Well, w-what are you still doing here kitty? You don't have anywhere t-to be right now?"

"I-I just thought... I can take you to school. It will take a lot less time if I carry you like a Purrincess," I said. I don't want her to think I was just staring at her beautiful face in awe... She then just mouthed okay and left to the bathroom to change.

I sit down on Marinette's bed. I don't want to betray my love for Ladybug, but how can I not with Marinette around. Marinette's dark blue hair, her mesmerizing blue eyes that I just get lost in, her laugh that lightens up my day, the way she puts others before herself and cares for them, bearing the pain and covering it up with a convincing smile, just everything about her. Which one do I choose? I just need to know... who is the one?

I hear Marinette come out of the bathroom. Her hair was down, and she had a little braid. She looks too cute. "Okay kitty I'm ready," she said.

"You're not going to put your hair in pigtails today my purrincess?" I asked trying to calm my heart from beating and pounding fast against my chest.

"Well, it's quite hard to actually fix my hair with some of the pain I have because of the scrapes," she said. I wish I was the one that got the pain instead of her. I should have been there for her. I should have tried to catch her when the Game Changer threw her. I felt a hand on my cheek. "It's not your fault I got hurt. It's my fault for getting involved. I'm just glad it was me and not anyone else that got hurt, especially you." It's as if she read my mind.

"Thank you, purrincess. I'll go wait for you outside," she took her hand away from my cheek, and I bowed and went outside to wait for her.

A few minutes later she came down.

"Sorry if it took long, kitty. My breakfast went all over my clothes for being clumsy, and I had to change." She walked towards me wearing a white shirt with green kitty paws with a thin black jacket and dark blue tights. My heart... it's beating uncontrollably.

"W-well my purrincess since there is still some time left, I will take you somewhere," I said. I then grabbed her and carried her in my arms. I took her to the top of the Eiffel Tower within minutes.

"It still surprises me that you never get scared or nervous of heights like most other girls," I told Marinette.

"There's the mistake; I am not like other girls," she said as I let her down. We were both sitting looking down at Paris. "Thanks for taking me up here Chat Noir. I really needed to clear up my mind."

"What are you thinking about my purrincess? You can talk about anything with me"

"Umm, it's fine. I don't want to drown you in my problems," Marinette said, "I mean not that I have that many problems...forget what I just said..."

"There is no need to keep it all in purrincess. Everyone has problems of their own. One of my problems concerns Ladybug..."

"Oh, why is that?" She looked at me with worried eyes.

"Well, I'll tell you if you tell me if one of your problems"

She hesitantly started,"Well, I used to only have one crush, but... I'm growing feelings for another, and I don't know what to do. I'm definitely not like other girls... I'm much more boring. Other girls may be better than me..." she then stopped looking away. I grabbed her face.

"I also have that same problem... I---" then my ring was beeping. "I guess that's my cue to drop you off at school." I quickly carried her to school. "I will see you later my purrincess," I said before I left to hide behind a building.

Heyo Minna! So, I hope you're all enjoying the chappies so far! Also, by now, many of you must have gone back to school. It's going to be my third week of school, but I will make time to write new chappies to this fanfic this time around. I really do love Miraculous Ladybug. I seriously can't wait for new episodes! Oh, and the Miraculous Chibi is just so kawaii! Anyway, ilysm Minna!
