Chapter 17 Meeting Sooner than Tomorrow

MARINETTE'S POV
Alya wrote me saying that I must come to the park and just meet her there. She didn't even tell me why! Maybe it has to do with her and Nino, but she would have just called me. She even told me I should wear a casual dress. I have a light red dress with black spots... but I don't know if I should wear it... Plus I still have my injuries from the Game Changer. I don't really want to meet her at the park because I was actually hoping to see Chat Noir because he is only my best friend. Just as I was thinking about him I hear a knock on the trap door. He always knocks even though it's unlocked. That's when I realized I was in only a bra and spandex because I was looking for the dress. I quickly took the dress and ran to the bathroom as I hear the creak of the trapdoor.
"My purrincess? Where are you?" Chat asked, "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, Kitty. It's just that I was in the middle of changing."
"O-oh, I'm sorry. So you're not going to stay home today?"
"No... I'm sorry kitty. I don't know how long I'll be out, but for some reason, my friend told me that I MUST meet her at the park."
"Oh, it must be important..."
I continued changing and once I was ready, I got out of the bathroom facing Chat.
"My friend even told me to wear a dress, but I don't particularly like how dresses look on me. Although I do love how the design came out." I was waiting till he joked or said something, but he just stood in place looking at me saying nothing.

ADRIEN'S POV
I can't move from where I'm standing. I am taking in a mental photo observing every single part of Marinette. The fact that it was a ladybug pattern reminded me of my Lady.
"Hey, are you okay kitty? I guess it's fine if I go late to the park. Alya can wait." The fact that she was willing to just stay and take care of me made my heart twist. I really do like her and I can't stop. For now, I must go get ready for the picnic too.
"N-no y-you must go," I told her. "... isn't it a bit revealing," I said silently that Marinette looked at me with her cute look of confusion. "I-I mean umm I'll be going now. Laters," I couldn't calm myself any longer. I quickly left before I tried to do something to her.

MARINETTE'S POV
I hope Chat Noir is okay... he should have just stayed. Now I'm going to be worried...
"Marinette! It's time for you to go!" Tikki reminded me. Oh shoot, that's right. I'm going to be late.
"Thanks, Tikki. I better hurry."
I ran as fast as I can. It felt weird running in a dress. It kind of hurt as I ran. I felt my minor injuries irritate a bit. But, by running, maybe they'll think I'm okay and the injuries don't hurt me. Then, I saw four figures in front of me. One was Alya with Nino on her side, but I also saw two other figures running toward to them.
*EARLIER*
ADRIEN'S POV
Man, my heart is still racing so fast. It has never gone this fast for Ladybug...
"Hey, Adrien, we are going to be late. Our limo is waiting outside," Felix reminded me bringing me back to reality.
"Oh no, we are going to be really late. Once the limo drops us off we have to start running to where we are supposed to meet up," I said as I got in the limo.
Felix came in the limo, "Run?! But I don't like running. I fixed my hair and running ruins it."
"Do this at least for once, please"
"I think you will look fine. You always used to run when you were little to the limo," Felix's limo driver added.
Felix blushed and said, "That was when I was younger, old man, t-there are going to be girls there, and I have only talked to males all my life...except my mom, but she doesn't talk much anymore..."
"Well, we are here. Let's run for Marinette." Once I said that he sprinted. I didn't see that coming at all. I started running seeing Nino and Alya along with Felix running towards them but there was another figure running towards them.

MARINETTE'S POV
As I come closer to them, I see Nino, Alya, Felix, and another figure running behind Felix. I can't believe Felix is running.  Then I realize the other figure behind Felix was Adrien.
"Hey, guys! What are you all doing here?" I see my best friend smirk at me. This must be a trial to see if I really stopped liking Adrien. Felix walked up to me.
"W-what is it? D-do I have something on my dress?" I said nervously. His stare felt kind of intimidating.
"Can you do a turn please?" Felix asked politely.
"Umm sure" I did a turn and Felix is now touching my dress.
"This dress is amazing! The quality it has and the way it compliments your turns! Who is the designer?"
"Well actually I designed this dress myself," I blushed from all the compliments he gave me.
"You truly fit in this dress. A beautiful girl for a beautiful dress."

FELIX'S POV
Oh no I said too much. "S-sorry that was a bit sudden. I just really love your dress."
"Oh no, it's okay! Thank you!" She gave me such a beautiful smile. Her blue eyes light up so bright under the sun, and the way her hair is loose flowing in the air. How can Adrien like Ladybug more than Mari? Has he even met Ladybug? Or does he just love her as a hero?... Wait not love but admire...My feelings were growing for Marinette, but then Adrien told me of his old crush on her, but I could tell it's not over. When I sideglanced to see Adrien's face, he looked twisted, hurt, angered, but most of all you can tell it was his look of jealousy. I don't want to take Mari away from Adrien. I could even tell how right they seem for each other. I know I began to like Mari, but I think it would be alright for me to just see her as a friend.
I mostly admire her after all...Oh, I have an idea to get Adrien and Mari together, but I will need Alya and Nino's help.

ADRIEN'S POV
"So I guess you guys couldn't wait till tomorrow to watch the play," Marinette said as she giggled. Oh no, not again. Why me why! I just can't get enough of Marinette. I kind of wish that we were alone, but how could I just ask her if she wants to hang out with me and just the two of us. I'm sorry Ladybug... I think I fell hard for Mari.
The first day I meet Mari, we got on bad terms because she thought that I was the one who put the gum in her seat. The next day, it was raining after school, and I saw Mari without an umbrella. I was able to tell her it wasn't me who put the gum on her seat. She looked so cold and didn't have a ride home, so I offered her my umbrella. She didn't know about the button on the umbrella that makes it close, so she got trapped in the umbrella. I couldn't help but laugh, and I was glad that she laughed back. The rain and background suit her appearance. Honestly, any background is compatible with Marinette. She is so beautiful with her light blue eyes and dark navy blue hair. I know that day I told Plagg that she was just one of my first friend, but she also kind of became one of my first crushes... I remember how my heart beat went faster when our hands touched, but I had to keep my cool front. I tried to think nothing of it.
The first time I met Ladybug was when she clumsily bumped into me with her yo-yo wrapped around us. It was awkward, but when she caught all the Akumas and saved my two classmates, she was just so admirable and amazing. I told myself that I loved that girl that day.
Now my feelings are leaning more towards Mari than Ladybug. Which one is truly the one I love?! I wish they were just the same person.
"Hey, Adrien are you okay?" Alya asked.
"Yeah we can take you home if you don't feel good," Nino said.
"No, it's all right, I was just kind of blanking out that's all. So what do you guys want to do?" I responded.
"We can all go to the amusement park nearby," Felix said. I heard about it, but I haven't been to one. I'm pretty sure he has been to several in the U.S... I know I haven't been to one in a while, but the last time I went was with my mom...
"Yeah, let's definitely go to the amusement park!" Mari said. I see her with such a happy, excited expression. I don't want to say I don't want to go in front of them.
"Then it's settled, we can go to the amusement park nearby."
It was weird that I ended up walking side by side with Mari while Felix, Alya, and Nino were walking together, but they were whispering... I wonder what they're whispering about.
