Chapter 18 The Plan

ALYA'S POV

"Ok, so what's the plan, Felix?" I asked.

"Yeah, how are we going to get Mari and Adrien on a date?" Nino added.

"Well you see, I've been to many amusement parks in the U.S., so I don't really care to go to this one. I was thinking that we can 'accidentally' get lost from them and maybe one of us don't feel good so we pretend we are leaving cause I don't know if you guys want to watch them," Felix suggested as if done before.

"That is such a genius plan! Let's do it!" I said. After whispering for quite a while, we were all just talking as we made our way to the amusement park.

ADRIEN'S POV

As Marinette and I were walking side by side, we both just sneezed at the same time. We started laughing.

"What are the odds of just sneezing at the same time?" Mari chuckled.

"I know right," I answered back.

"You really don't mind if we go to the amusement park, right? If you really don't want to go I'm fine with it. I don't want you to get sick or anything," Marinette said sweetly. There it is. One of the things I love about her. She is so caring in noticing the smallest things.

"I'll be fine... it's just..."I paused hesitating to tell her, yet I felt the need to tell her.

"It's just what? I won't laugh or make fun of you. I promise," she said sincerely.

"Well, the last time I came at the amusement park was with my mom..."

"Oh, I'm sorry," Mari said looking very sad. Then, her face just lit up all of a sudden. "Ok. Today, we are going to have such a fun time that you won't feel sad. Sure, the last time you came here was with your mom, but I know she would probably want you to continue on being happy wherever you go no matter if it was your last time going there with her. She would want you to keep your memories with her and build new ones," Marinette said.

I just didn't know how to answer back. She knows the right words to say. I feel much better now. The way she said all that just opened up my mind. I really do love her...

"Oh, I-I said too much didn't I! Sorry I-I just--um--," Marinette started to nervously say.

"No, it's ok. You really cheered me up. Thank you."

"N-no problem."

We finally made it to the amusement park. We paid for our tickets and went inside.

"So what do we do first?" I asked the group.

"Let's all go to the biggest roller coaster," Nino said. Oh no, I wonder how I'm going to feel on rides now... it's been so long.

"Yes! Let's do this," Marinette said looking pumped up and ready to go. We then go to the ride. It was at the far end of the amusement park.

"Wow, this roller coaster is really big..." I said nervously.

"If you don't want to go on it, it's ok. You can try if you want. I'll be sitting right beside you. I probably won't be much help, but it'll be really fun," Mari told me as we were making our way to the line. If she's gonna sit beside me I'll definitely go on the ride.

"Ok, I'm ready. I'll go on the ride to make new memories." She then gave me such a nice smile.

"You guys should stop flirting!" Nino yelled.

"Look at those lovebirds over there!" Alya added.

"Just so in love," Felix joined in, which was just so unexpected.
