My first class: Math. I always aced in Math but the thought of using my brain juice on the very first period and on the very first day of school, bad idea was written all over it. I had to drag my feet towards class.

The tables and chairs in class were arranged like those in the examination hall. Usually, the arrangement is temporary, till our form teacher decided to change it. I chose a seat diagonally beside Zen. He and I were lucky to be in the same class again. Classmates change every year.

"Why don't you want to sit next to me?" He was giving me the 'What the heck' look.

I was tired to argue with him but I don't want to be misunderstood. "It's because our dearest Ms Rain is going to change our seats no matter what. There might be a chance to sit next to you if I'm not next to you in the first place."

He paused, acknowledged and shrugged. Zen should have realised that I was tired as he turned back to let me be.

Ms Rain was my Math teacher for the previous academic year. It was stated in the timetable that she would still be my math teacher this year, however, she will also be the form teacher of my class.

"Class listen up! I know you, you know me. I'm pretty sure I know who sleeps in class and who skips lessons. Putting that aside. First and foremost, class representatives! As usual, I need two. One head, one assistant. Any volunteers?"

The whole class went silent. Being class reps have its benefits, like additional leadership points and the authority to control the class. But they were also like little servants to the teachers.

Ms Rain folded her arms. "No one? Before I start picking at random."

Suddenly Zen raised his arms. That made me froze in my seat. It wasn't him to do such things.

"I'll do it Ms Rain."

"Good, Zen shall be the main class rep for volunteering first. Anyone up for the assistant position? No one...? At all...? Oh, we have a second volunteer!"

I raised my head to look around, but no one stood or lifted their arms. Until everyone turned their heads and looked towards me. My eyes grew wider in shock.

"And your name is? You're new to this school, aren't you?" asked Ms Rain.

I blinked at her, confused. She knew me. She always picked me to answer her questions. Did she knock her head during the holidays and forgotten about me? And I didn't raise my hand to volunteer. Why is everyone looking towards me?

"Ms Rain, I'm-"

"I'm Glenn. Yes, I just got transferred here."

I turned back and this 'Glenn' was just sitting behind me. Muscular and well-built, just like Clark. Except that my brother is bigger in size. His name sounds familiar though.

I looked up, caught his eyes holding mine. He winked, smiled and mouthed, Hi Harley.
