The smell of my body soap filled the room with rose. I wrapped the bath towel around me and sat in front of the mirror to dry my hair.

I stared at my reflection and reminiscence about the time when I have nothing to worry about. The house was so much smaller and my parents were home taking care of my brother and me. We would go to the cinema and watch the latest movie release. Dinner would sometimes be my mother's cooking. I missed her dishes.

My father would play hide and seek with me, running around the small house, tickling upon finding me. Clark would enjoy the scene and laughed alongside with us, helping me by tackling back our father. The more I thought about them, the more I smiled to myself.

Those lovely days were now over. The house became bigger and emptier. Strangers started coming in to clean and guard the house. I was only 7 then.

The monthly allowance would be banked into an account specially for anyone managing the house. Food and necessities were out of our control. Everything and anything we need was served to us within the snap of our fingers. Clark and I would receive our personal allowance through our bank accounts.

My parents left us for a rare business opportunity, requesting my brother to take care of me and the house. We were still learning, but we were forced to be independent at a young age. The guards would receive orders from my parents, like the times we had to move to a new house, the times we had to move to a new town. We moved thrice within a span of five years.

Clark got his driving license at sixteen, but only I could celebrate with him. My parents did not come back, only presenting him with the blue Ferrari he now has. It just appeared at the doorway with a congratulatory note. Even the delivery man was nowhere to be seen.

My middle school graduation ceremony was accompanied by Clark and a whole bunch of bodyguards, for who knows what. Later to know that the media caused a huge scene just to take photos of me in my graduation gown. Clark ended up having to run up on stage to hide me away from all the nonsense.

As I continued to dry my hair, my phone rang. I walked towards my side table and picked up my phone. I picked it up on the 4th ring.

"Hey, Wendy. What's up?"

"Hi, Harley! Nothing much actually. I was just wondering. Does Glenn or Zen have a girlfriend now? I saw you talking to Glenn, you two seemed close."

Why this question of all questions in the world? Now I got to lie to her. What a good friend you are, Harley Levin.

"They are both singles. Why you asked?"

"I like Zen but I'm going to give him up. He's not interested in me. Glenn is so hot and smart, I like him."

Oh no.

"You can give it a try, I guess." I laughed sarcastically. Jealousy was building up in me.

"I will approach Glenn tomorrow. Thanks, Harley! Have a good day! Bye!" She hung up the phone before I could say my goodbye.

I fell back on my bed still wrapped up in my towel, looking at the ceiling. Now what.

A couple of knocks came through the door, startling me. "Who's there?"

"Glenn here, I'm coming in Harley."

Before I could ask him not to enter the room, he already closed the door behind him.

"Oh! My god, I'm so sorry!" He turned with his back facing me.

"It's alright. I was slow in giving a response. I will go to the toilet to change. Take a seat anywhere." I took my pyjamas and walked to the toilet.
