Zen drove me to the hospital via his bike. Every time his bike sped, I will tighten my hold on his waist.

I wasn't afraid of the speed, I was afraid of what I'll see in the hospital ward later. Zen would caress my hands once in a while as a form of consolation. I can't watch my brother in pain.

When we reached the level of his ward, Zen grabbed hold of my shoulders to support me. I smiled weakly at him, he smiled his warmest smile back. He pulled me into a hug as we walked, his head leaned on mine.

We stood in front of the room, I exhaled and knocked on the private room's door.

"Harley? Is that you?" I heard my brother's response.

I peeked in slowly. He was sitting up, eating his lunch fed by the private nurse.

Clark was not hooked to any machines, just his normal self on the bed.

"Clark..." My tears started forming in my eyes, slowly dripping out of them like a leaking tap.

"You can leave the lunch here, I will finish it myself later. Thank you." He said to the nurse while opening his arms wide, hinting me to go over to him.

I ran towards him and hugged him the tightest I've ever given to a person. "Ouch." Was all he said. I laughed and pushed myself up to look at him. I had to remove the tears from my eyes to clear my vision.

"How are you feeling? What did they do to you? Aren't you cheeky for asking the nurse to feed you?"

He laughed at me and squeezed my cheeks with both his hands. "I'm feeling the same. All they did was to give me a blood transfusion, let me rest a few days. To monitor my condition. And mind you, I did not ask the nurse to feed me, they fed me themselves."

I gave him the suspicious look. He laughed louder.

"Why don't you invite your friend in? That poor dude looks worried."

Oh. Zen. I totally forgot about him.

I poked my head through the door opening and whispered, "Sorry Zen, you can come in now, he's fine." I smiled to reassure him that I'm fine.

He smiled back and entered the room. "Hi Clark, I'm glad you're fine. Harley here ignored my calls and messages during your time of hospitalisation."

I smacked him on the arm for exposing something like that to make my brother worry.

"Did you eat properly during my absence, Harley? Did you go to school? Did she went to school, Zen?"

Zen was looking at him, then to me and back to Clark. "She did not."

"How many times do I have to tell you that your education is of utmost importance at your age now? And I bet you refused all the lunches and dinners our chef cooked at home as well? Am I right, Harley Levin?"

I just nodded in reply.

Clark looked down and shook his head. "Promise me this will be your last time, Harley."

My brother sounded very disappointed in me but his face was giving off the worried look. "Yes, Clark..."

"Good, now tell me. Why didn't you visited me for the past few days? Since you were at home."

I looked at my brother, then to Zen. He nodded to me, signalling that it is fine to tell him the truth. I turned back to face Clark, releasing a sigh first.

"I don't dare to. I was afraid of seeing the weak you, hooked to many machines, unable to move. Having no parents around was bad enough. The thought of losing you can kill me."

Clark pulled me into a hug. "Such a silly girl. And thank you, Zen. For bringing her to me. Without me around, I'm sure you're the only person she is willing to listen to."

"I'm glad to help." Zen smiled at him then back to me. I blushed pink. "But then again, can you let me bring her out to have lunch? I'm sure her stomach has a couple of holes already."

Just then, my stomach growled in hunger. Both of them laughed. I pouted.

"Sure, sure. Go ahead. I have to finish my lunch too."

Zen grabbed my hand, pulled me out of the ward and down the lift we go.
